The All New, All Star Batman & Robin Thread!

Frank Miller won a Scream award (which is viewers choice, btw) for All Star Batman. So it looks like the haters really are in the minority here, even if on this forum the inverse seems to be true.

This is the same scream awards that gives a 'best rack' in comics award, right?
:D

It's also the Scream awards that gave Neil Gaiman an Icon award, which he had no trouble accepting

Has the issue after the one where Batman get's it on with Black Canary come out yet? Can't wait to see WW confront Batman, the way she has been written is too damn funny. Maybe she'll get it on with Batman too.

DC has the next issue listed under November 28th.

Hey guys i have read the first 3 comics but have missed the rest. Would it be worth trying to find all the comics i have missed or wait until the graphic novel comes out? Or should i just skip the rest all togeather

Well Batman treatment of Dick is somwhat...."oldschool". :cwink:

Maybe Frank Miller was reading some old Batman books from the 50s and see if he could sell some "tough Love" to today's comic audiences.

Anyway, I loved All-Star BAtman from day one and continue to love it because it's Miller's verison of Batman that he's ALWAYS given us.

If you re-read DKR (and DK Strikes BAck as well as his Team up with Spawn) it's in line with how Fank Miller portrayed Batman in that landmarked book all the way down to his "scarylaugh"!

Funny some of the auguments I hear against this book reminds me of the auguments we had back in the comicbook shops about DKR back in the day (NO intraweb back then youngsters).

If you liked the first 3, don't skip the rest. Cause it only gets better.

skip the rest. not much happens in these books, you can read online and you''ll know all the important bits. what's good in these issues is the smaller moments of dialogue and stupidity but still i'd wait until the tpb is out if you're gonna buy them. the first book will probably collect 1-7 and since 7 is out already it shouldn't be too soon. or you can just download the lot and screw Frank miller, DC and your friendly neihborhood comic shop out for dough

Neal Adams is THE BAtman Artist. i can't wait to see him do some interiors again which is suppose to be in the works.

dick grayson has. but not robin, the boy wonder. i mean, if you name the book all star batman and robin, the boy wonder, rather than just all star batman....then there should be a lot more of robin than we've seen or will see.
