Dear God. Justin Biebers believe got an A on Cinemascore. There is no way hollywood takes that site seriously.

It gauges audience satisfaction with the movie. People who actually paid money to see Biebs enjoyed it. Those of us who wouldn't be caught dead at that movie aren't a factor.

I'm surprised it didn't get an A+, I guess all the parents that took the kids downgraded it.

Really? At my screening most of the kids seemed kinda bored (there were lots of drama scenes that wouldn't really interest most kids) and one of the first comments after the movie from someone I went with was, "It's not a movie kids would like that much." The adults definitely seemed more into it. Parts of the movie are excellent. Parts of the movie are terrible. Personally, that makes it difficult to rate (Half of me says "Best Spidey movie ever", half says "This needed to be better"), but I'd say the less than stellar reception is deserved.

Another reason why I don't think the TF comparisons are accurate is because I don't think this will be as "fun" to the GA as TF series. It doesn't have that much action or 'splosions.

Cinema Score was a B+ avg. Sony pointed out that it was an A- for those under 25. But failed to point out that since 51% was over age 25 that means it was a B avg for those 25 and up - which is ehhhh for the usually rah rah Cinemascore.

Sony probably hopes kids will drive the box office in the upcoming weeks which it might since most upcoming films would seem to skew older and less family friendly until Maleficent.

I think he was talking about the Bieber movie.

Godzilla was always popular when I was a kid, but maybe that has changed.

It really doesn't have much action and outside of that I don't think it's fast paced and fun. Again I might be wrong but I just don't see why the film would drop under 60% when the much better received Winter Soldier had a near 57% drop. I guess people could be really bored and want to see a big visual effects film???

I say the film will finish somewhere along the lines of 820 mil. As it stands now after it's opening weekend here stateside the film is already just shy of 400 mil. I don't think anything big opens this weekend because Godzilla is the week of the 16th (I believe) so it will prob be No.1 again this weekend plus overseas will drop some nice cash on it too.

Neighbors opens this weekend and could easily be number one (I'm not predicting that yet).

Oh forgot about that, that's the comedy with Seth Rogen. I see that doing somwhere between 30-60 mil. A wide range yes but those comedies by that group of actors (I.E. Rogen and friends) have had opening all over the place. I still think TASM2 takes 1, Neighbors takes 2, maybe Rio2 Takes 3. Million Dollar Arm is a wild card, no clue if it will earn or sink.
