Reading the last few pages there's a real sense of panic with some posters. People need to calm down, what's done is done and there's nothing anyone can do about the outcome of this movie now.
Now is the time for reflection and forward thinking. Sony can't just rely on the Spider-Man name to get bums on seats anymore, the film itself has to be a good quality and this is where Sony have taken their eye off the ball, this is not unlike what WB did in the mid 90's with Batman. WB assumed in could just slap the Batman logo on any film and people would come to see it. It would take 7 years before the character would recover. The parallels with what Sony are doing are kinda scary if you ask me. On top of that they spent too much money on this movie, if a film is needing $750 million+ to break even then there are serious problems from within the studio that need addressing, and unfortunately they are dragging Spider-Man down with them.
So what are the options? First things first, if you didn't enjoy the film you as a fan are not obliged to see it again just because you love the character. Some fans do this because they feel they have to support the film in order to get a sequel, the truth is all you're doing is sending Sony a message saying 'make more of this please'. Save your money.
Second, there is the returning to Marvel/Disney option which on paper seems good but given where the MCU currently is it's difficult to see how you incorporate a rebooted Spider-Man in that universe. I think Marvel would do a better job overall, or at the very least create a film consistent with their catalog to date, but at the same to hard to see where Spider-Man can fit within that universe.
Last, perhaps it's time fans send a message to Sony about what they want for Spider-Man. Back in 1997 us Batman fans had little way of telling WB how we felt about what they did to our character, Spidey fans have an advantage today with social media to ensure Sony hear you. I'm sympathetic because as much as I'm a Batman guy I've always had a soft spot for Spider-Man and would hate to see the same thing happened to Spidey fans as happened to us Batman folks.
