If they do anything to Dehaan's hair itll just be to darken it slightly.

The new lenses make him look so much more like Spider-Man than any of the other suits have. It's amazing what little changes can do.

I prefer the smaller eyes tbh. The bigger ones look alright on paper but I don't like the size in most of these manips.

Does that mean you dislike most of his comic and cartoon portrayals since the '80s?

I angled the lenses to go with the dimensions of his face and this is what I came up with

If that's what we'll get, I'm loving it. Now if they'll only make the rest look like the classic costume, added waist line, no leg stripes, no segmented gloves, no silver shoe soles, then it'll be perfect.

i don't want the suit to look to much like raimi's spiderman again, i like the colour and material of this suit and it looks really nice on screen

The only thing ruining that shot are the shoes.

Will be interesting to see the new lenses in motion, the ones in the shot above make spidey look quite sinister.

Rudimentary Costume concepts (FAN ART, not that this is good enough to trick anyone) based on comments by Marc Webb. Spider-Man has his new eyes and his “gnarly” web shooters, as well as the belt, giving the more classic feel.

Electro is Jamie Foxx- I muted the green that would normally be in the costume because it would be way too bright. The color scheme of the costume itself is still ridiculous and unbelievable, but I assume thats the type of character that this Max Dillon would be. I combined the collar aspect of Ultimate Electro with the costumes of 616 Electro. I thought that the Ultimate Electro head idea was good, but would be a bit easier/more cost effective to just have the lightning scars on his face to glow along with his eyes, not just his whole face. Everything else is just aesthetics. I also thought that because of the backstory of him thinking he’s Spider-Man’s sidekick that he would also incorporate some Spidey-esque costume elements such as the belt, and the black on the sides and legs similar to the way the blue is laid out on Spidey’s costume.

Some guy on deviantart made this rough mock-up

I agree, it looks great in the comics and cartoons but based on the manipulation it looks too weird(although it might look better with different Spidey mask and in motion). I'm one of the people who greatly preferred the costume because it has the intended poor high school student made it(someone called it dollar store quality which was almost every Spider-man costume was kind of suppose to be) like how the Spidey lenses were sunglasses, boots made out of running sneakers, web spinners made out of old wristwatches, costume inspired by luge and track runners.

Don't get me wrong, I kind of like how they are making the costume more faithful to the comics and all, but I hope we see the first costume at the beginning and see it destroyed or damaged in someway and him giving a good explanation of why he changed the Spider-man costume into the new one.

I enjoy this Electro comic; it's how I imagined if both the classic and Ultimate Spiderman worlds would be combined without looking too practical and too comical.

I don't understand why peopl whatever the silver shoes so much.

I guess it wouldn't be as bad if there was silver on other places of the suit too?

I don't think they should go that far.

Honestly, the only real change I want to see now, after the lenses, is a revised web pattern on the entire costume, the leg stripe taken away (something that most agree with) and for the torso section to be widened.

Widened to look more like the first costume of Miles Morales.

I think the belt-less look works better with a wider torso section like this, or like the Ben Reilly costume.

Doing it this way and keeping the faux belt they had on the last suit (with some tweaking to compliment the revision), the suit would be great.

A wider torso without a belt looks worse. Especially with the red portion coming down so low. Looks like he's wearing an oversized shirt or something.

Maybe it's because that reminds me of this.

Looks great, right?

Come on now. That's just ridiculous.

and I said with the faux belt.

If you don't I mean, I meant the half belt they had on the suit to create the look of a belt on the back of the costume.

and who said it has to come down THAT low. TBH, they need to raise it.

I know everyone will just love it and wet their pants, should Webb actually make it look just like classic Spidey.
