Both of these were sequels that had mixed reactions at best, 1 May have spelt the end of its franchise, the other is considered by many as the worst MCU. And then both have a lot of fans as well that seem dedicated to defending them. I don't think either is particularly bad, but neither is particularly good either, they are around the same level for me, I just wonder what everyone else thinks, so please vote away on the poll people.

Both were meh. I'll have to go with Thor: TDW.

TASM2's overall story was bizarrely muddled, but it had many moments of greatness.

Thor TDW was just a shallow bore imo. Other than the black hole grenades, nothing really left much of an impression on me.

The Amazing Spider-man 2 easily. For all it's problems, I still do like it and unlike Thor 2 gave a damn about some characters.

The Amazing Spider-Man 2 by far. I liked Thor: The Dark World too, I just didn't love it like I did TASM2.

Amazing Spider Man 2 was less stupid and it at least tried to do something different.

The villains in Amazing Spider-Man 2 are bad, everything else is considerably solid.
Almost everything else.

Thor 2 Has Hiddelston as Loki, nothing else is memorable in my book.

After some thought I went with TASM 2 it has some dumb moments but it also has more good moments than TDW did IMO. TASM 2 had some very powerful moments as well, especially the ending, were as Thor 2 failed in that aspect, what should have been powerful moments were mostly glossed over.

Amazing Spider-man 2 for me. I had more fun with it, Thor 2 was kind of a drag to me.

The Orgasmic Spider-man 2 did nothing for me. Thor: The Black Universe did nothing for me either. I shall flip a coin.

Thor: The Dark World, barely. I really didn't enjoy either movie to be honest, but The Amazing Spider-Man 2 was painful to sit through when I first saw it.

Thor 2 vs the Spider-man movie so bad that it killed the franchise? Yeah, no contest.

Thor 2 wasn't terrible and was entertaining in it's own right. It could have been better but it's still good. I couldn't even bother finishing ASM2.

I'm not a fan of the original Thor film (I find it kind of boring), but I loved Thor TDW.
A great fun film.

Here are a few comments I'd like to make:

- Hemsworth was likeable and believable as Thor, the character had developed somewhat from the first film. A solid lead !

- Hopkins, masterful as Odin, with only a few scenes to work with.
- Russo, pretty good.

- Portman, oddly kind of dull, she really phoned this one in.
- Skarsgard, a great mad scientist, the guy is so versatile, I haven't really seen him do a lot of comedy, but a great turn
- Chris Eccleston was pretty dull as Malektih, who's one of the greatest Thor villains to come along since the 80's. REally, all his lines should have been in English, the Elvish was just weird and distracting.

- Kurse was pretty scary and a legitimate threat. A very good villainous henchman.

But the real star was Hiddleston, he turned in another stellar performance as Loki.
The guy just gets better with every film appearance.

The one thing I didn't like about TDW was Kat Dennings, she's the same in everything, and was just a distraction in this film.

The aesthetic of the film was wonderful, Asgard got fleshed out a little more (and I liked the science/magic elements) the Dark Elves and their technology were appropriately creepy.
The action was nicely paced and the special effects impressive. Despite impending cosmic armageddon there still managed to be some funny moments - kind of had the same vibe as Guardians.

Amazing Spider Man 2....
The only good things about it were Garfield, who I think has really grown into the role - didn't like him in ASM, but he's really becoming Peter Parker AND Emma Stone, always good.

Otherwise.....pretty lame. I had such high hopes for Jamie Foxx, but Electro wasn't great. The less said about the Goblin the better.
The first action sequence with Electro is impressive, but the final battle looks like a video game.

They really need to choose better villains for Spidey. I did like the end though, with Spidey having a mourning montage and then getting back into the action. A good note to end on.

So, all in all TASM 2 6 /10 Thor TDW 8.5/10

Just IMO of course.

I don't particularly care for either, but Thor 2. It's mediocre, but ASM2 is god awful at best.

Character development = ASM2
Villain = ASM2
Plot/Story = TDW
Acting = ASM2
Costume = ASM2 (Best THOR costume so far though)
Cinematography = TDW

Overall = ASM2

Acting? No way dude. Frigga's death scene, Loki's "death" scene, hell, pretty much anything Loki trumped everything in TASM2. Don't know how I feel about the rest though, CD in TDW sucked, and ASM2 it did too. I hate the villains in TASM2, but Malekith was lame as well.

Thor 2 all the way.

TASM 2 is a stinker.

Let's see

Thor 2 introduces the Aether an important artifact that will play into the upcoming Infinity War heavily featuring Thanos.

ASM2 introduces Rhino an important piece of a possible corn filled fest featuring the Silly Six.

I take Thor 2.

TASM2. It's pretty enjoyable. TDW is just dull.

Wait, the nightmare that was the Harry Goblin and the complete joke of Electro were better than Malekith and Loki? I'll give you the costume but that's about the only accurate thing I see here.
