You can tell its fake on the simple principle that Amy Pascal can't type that good. The sentences are much too coherent, and appropriately formatted.

What the hell are they talking about with Tobey vs Andrew and Spider-Man vs the Amazing Spider-Man??

It's not like they are two separate characters from two different generations, or that one is simply playing the older version of another (like Patrick Stewart and James McAvoy with Professor X). If true, that is even worse than any of their other ideas they've come up with so far (Sinister Six, female Carnage, Aunt May etc). That sounds like a load of BS.

Maybe they no longer do an outright change, because it could render a user unrecognisable, but this would just be a small spelling correction.

If you explain that you spelt it wrong in the first place it might work. But if you just say you want it changed, then they might be more reluctant.
