Spiderman is not gonna get a movie in 2017 unless it is stipulated in the negotiation. MCU has THREE movie out that year. Unless they are scrapping one of them, just no... I'd be shocked if the rights were bought outright and Marvel reboots three years after ASM2. That's not their game.

Do some Civil War reshoots (where are we with filming that by the way? Did they already start?). Give Spidey a cameo or a small role. Give him a bigger role in Avengers Infinity War. To make room for Spidey, you can take one of the Avengers out of commission for a while depending on what happens with AoU and Civil War, to make screen time for Spidey. Solo Spidey film in 2020/2021 for PIV.

A Spider-Man film releasing last year didn't hurt the three Disney produced Marvel adaptations rekeased. Look at it this way: Disney doesn't have a major film releasing in April 2017. If Spidey releases then, they benefit from that film, and it's out of most theaters by the time they're own big film is out.

I wouldn't rule out a 2017 Spider-Man movie completely. It is only being brought up because it was suggested by one of the Disney execs in the leaked e-mails. Otherwise they wouldn't wait until 2020 to get Spider-Man his own solo film. The idea there was to make a Spider-Man movie, put him in Avengers 3, have a Spider-Man sequel, and then put him in Avengers 4 afterwards.

It's not the ONLY thing they can do. If they just gave Spider-Man a cameo in Civil War then put him in Avengers 3, that could work, too. Civil War has not started filming yet.

Followed by:

"Whoa! Not so fast! The plot thickens even more! Like I always say, where there is smoke there is fire!"

and then: "Something BIG on the horizon..."

So obviously he is referring to Spider-Man in that tweet. "The plot thickens even more" can only be a follow-up to, "Spider-Man & the MCU... the plot thickens."

You got the dates wrong. The irony of this is that SPIDER-MAN will "PROBABLY" meet THOR on May 4th, 2018.

Why does he put "PROBABLY" in caps and quotes? He ends the tweet with a smiley face so I'm guessing it's good news? But then again "good" is subjective, so IDK.

Interesting thing about that Hulk bit, though, both he and Devin Faraci reiterated today that Hulk in space was definitely part of the Age of Ultron script. Who knows, maybe it was in the first draft. They're not the only insiders that maintain that Hulk was going into space at one point in development. Things like that get changed in development all the time. Valkyrie was in Thor: The Dark World at one point, and in the first Thor there was originally a Hank Pym name drop.

We've been discussing the tweets for a while now. This guy is taking his sweet time with revealing what's going on with Spider-Man. And now some people are saying he isn't referring to Spider-Man at all but instead talking about something major with DC. I'm confused...

Someone asked if it was DC related and he said maybe... But everything else he tweeted points towards Spidey which is why I think he said maybe to keep the DC fans around. This guy is sick and twisted.
