And some people want this guy back? In SM3, his phoning it in was so obvious there should have been an iPhone 5 in red and blue swinging around New York.

You're seriously begging to be jokered

I thought Toby was decent enough in SM1 and SM2 but Dunst and Maguire really came across as a couple of massive *****es in interviews around the time of SM3 and their performances in the movie itself were horrible. What has either actor gone on to a achieve since. The Spider-Man was well rid of both of them. Andrew and Emma (for me) blew them out of the water.

Such hot commodities, AG and ES are. Taking off the fangirl eyeglasses (and the fact that - at best - a few people enjoyed AG overall) it speaks volumes when his films do worse financially and critically...and have the help of 3D sales to boost.

Yeah I still like tobey but Garfield has sm is night and day better and his peter I would say is slightly better and he is just a better actor. His emotion when gwened died, the fear in his voice when gwen shows up at the power plant, the that my boy ect. Garfield had more great acting sinces that stand out in asm2 then tobey had in sm 1-3 combined.

Nope, there isn't a single thing Garfield did better than Tobey did in SM2 alone.

Yeah but AG is also like 8 years younger then tobey and ES is like 6 years younger then KD and I would say I have heard probly about the same amont of praz even though the movies are not has while recived has sm 1-3.

No offence, but was that Maguire and Dunst post Spider-Man list supposed to impress me? I should have said what have they gone to achieve after Spider-Man of any note.

Age has nothing to do with it. He said "What has either actor gone on to a achieve since", as if they just ended their careers in 2007 and haven't done a thing since, cept lay on their lazy butts.

Nope, there isn't a single thing Garfield did better than Tobey did in SM2 alone.

Probly the best thing tobey did in sm 2 was the part when he tells may about what happened to ben and even that has nothing on what AG did at the power plant, clock tower, that's my boy and all the great parts has sm has while.

No offence was taken, not like there was a good defense to begin with.

My point is that they are older there for more time to do more things and really I have not heard any thing about toby or KD sinces after sm3. While ok brothers tobey did but like what else? Sea bisket was before that just before sm2.

He didn't do anything noteworthy in any of those, except cry over Gwen's death, which wasn't bad.

"Aunt May, I need. To know. ABOUT MY DADDY AND MOMMY......

and then do nothing when I find out villain making machine Oscorp was behind their deaths." :o

the part at the power plant you can hear is worness in his voice and the part with the kid and bulls was also great to.

See disagreeing about a film is fine, Evil. For the most part I agree with you. It's your attitude with others I don't like.

Spider-Man must have said two or three lines in the movie.

'I have a knack for that'
'Here's your change'
'Where is she?'

Even though I like those lines I don't think tobey did has good of a job with the delivery has AG did with the god names sparkers or any of his other lines.

I think Garfield as Spider-Man fans should spend less time worrying about Maguire and more time worrying about whether Garfield is going to get a 3rd shot.

Anyway, people should point out these well delivered funny lines by Garfield because I don't recall laughing once.

It's 50/50 as to whether Andrew gets another shot

Absolutely no chance of Macguire ever being in a spider-man film again.

Not a great point.

I remember the times when Raimi vs Webb discussions were not allowed. Guess we can write anything and everything Spider-Man related now since the fate of the franchise is unknown at the moment. So here goes. Maguire might have been a decent PP, but his Spidey sucked. Even as a teen I knew that.

Spectacular Spider-Man said it best.
Doc Ock: "Do you ever shut up!?"
Spider-Man: "Sorry, no. My fans expect a certain amount of quippage in every battle."

I loved that but now that we got that in asm2 and 1 the movies are to chessy to people:doh::doh::doh:

God named sparkers
You want me to come down there so you can kill me
Ok, I'll be right there
On behalf of the fine people of New York and real rhinos everywhere, I ask you to put your mechanized paws in the air!
Knock, knock. Mr. Criminal? Hey, my name is Spider-Man. You can call me Web-Head, you can call me Amazing, just don't call me late for dinner. You get it?
I'm glad you're not one of those cops who rides a horse.

All of those where great and just like spider man would say!

Maguire's Spider-Man series has been done for nearly ten years. You aren't revealing any new news. It's not 2009 or whenever Sony revealed they were rebooting the series.

Each to their own but I thought Garfield's Spider-Man was hilarious.
I think my favorite line was 'not a shaker?'.
I also liked the line 'sorry, I didn't recognize you with all the...you look different'

You're seriously begging to be jokered

:hoboj:

His posts are hanging themselves here. But I'm flattered you thought of me. There is one post I will destroy with pleasure though since spider-neil is at this point rewriting facts into falsities to suit his own weak argument.

Spider-Man must have said two or three lines in the movie.

'I have a knack for that'
'Here's your change'
'Where is she?'

"Hey you guys, no playing in the streets. See ya"
"Pulling the plug"
"Hand her over. Easy now"
"HANG ON!!!!"
"There you go. We sure should showed him"
"Surprise. As soon as you get free..."
"Shut it down, Ock. You're going to hurt a lot more people this time"
"Well I'm not"

Etc etc.

I'm not even going to quote the whole conversation with Hal Sparks in the elevator. Or all the dialogue he said in costume with the mask off.

You're trying too hard, spider-neil, and the more you try, the worse your arguments get, and easier to disprove as false.

I think Garfield as Spider-Man fans should spend less time worrying about Maguire and more time worrying about whether Garfield is going to get a 3rd shot.

Insecurity is the reason why some (I'm not tainting all TASM fans with this brush) are bringing up Maguire in the first place. If he was as lousy or weak as some think there wouldn't even be a need to bring him up at all. You don't see Batman fans bringing up Kilmer or Clooney in discussions like this because they're not a contender for best Batman.

Anyway, people should point out these well delivered funny lines by Garfield because I don't recall laughing once.

Nor I. Nor any of the three audiences I saw it with.
