No, it was unfair for us to watch the second movie. The first one was alright... Still had it's share of problems though.

@Miles: Exactly how I feel. At least give us one more film to finish it off and then you can do whatever you want with it. But don't have TASM2 be the end of the whole franchise.

While I do think TASM2 could work as a finale... why the **** should that be the case? The franchise deserves a trilogy.

IMO, it's weaker than Raimi's first 2 movies and TASM1... but it's not a horrible excuse for a movie by any means.

I'm okay what ever direction they go in as long as there are quality film makers and writers involved and the producers don't interfere with the film making process.
So no, I wouldn't be upset at a Marvel or ASM3. My only issue is I don't want a 3 year wait for the next Spider-Man movie.

Goddard's email was a shocker (no pun intended) but if S6 got made I would watch it and just bite my lips when 100 foot Sandman levels Midtown.

The irony is it earned almost no profit, making the sequel questionable even if Marvel Studios wasn't a possibility...

Seriously, guys, There's very little chance Sony isn't at least soft rebooting. They've burned bridges with Garfield and Webb, it's already been leaked that the Sinister Six lineup wasn't going to be the one set up in TASM2, and the Sony bosses aren't happy with the state of Spider-Man (worth noting: Sony is based in Japan and TASM series performed significantly lower than the Raimi series. 2 was the lowest grossing by far).
