The only spinoff I'd watch is a JJJ spinoff!!

I don't care if it's Raimi, Webb, Sony Reboot or MCU. He'd be amazing no matter what!

I don't think theres one Spidey fan out there who hates JJJ!

I cannot imagine anyone else but Simmons doing as well in the role. I really hope that if the character's used again, they go with Simmons.

JJJ was great! He gave the best performance by any of the actors in any of the sm movies!

Tough to do when the first two films only made 260M WW combined. It's sad, the films are great.

Hellboy 2 was more profitable then TASM2.

Spent 85 million, got back 165 million.

TASM2 had a budget of 435 million and got back 708 million.

Sure TASM2 made more in the box office but when you look at how much you spent and how much you earned, you nearly doubled your budget with Hellboy 2. Only 10 million short from doubling it's budget.

TASM2 needed 870 million to double it's budget.

Plus in the second weekend, Hellboy 2 had to face Momma Mia and THE DARK KNIGHT while TASM2 faced Neighbors.

A movie that essentially bombed isn't going to be a business model for some one wanting to fund Hellboy 3. Just because TASM2 allegedly made less money doesn't mean hellboy is all of a sudden going to get made

I want Spidey rebooted into the MCU under Marvel's creative control. As such, it should be a clean slate, avoiding the Raimi and Webb continuities. HOWEVER, the ONE exception I would make is JK Simmons return as JJJ. I would enjoy that! As mentioned, Marvel is using him in the Ultimate cartoon, so maybe they could still use him in their live action movies (and please make it 616 Pete/Spidey and supporting cast, NOT Ultimate).

I will say, the fact that JK Simmons just confirmed that him returning is "a possibility" (in a very optimistic tone I might add) should be cause for excitement regardless of reboot or continuation. I mean think about how bold of a claim that is, sounds like he was approached

No way if knowing, but bringing back JK Simmons does sounds like a Marvel move, I've always thought the first thing marvel would do when they got back spidey would be bringing on Simmons.

Simmons probably heard something, actually he literally said he heard something and then stopped himself. So who knows, either way, it'd be great to have Simmons back. If it's a sony move, it's their first good move in a while

I'd say IMO all the main performances in the series (Garfield, Stone, Dehaan, Field) are fantastic despite how they were handled, but man if Simmons is brought back, that would just be so sweet!
