The marketing designs looked hella similar to the Raimi films too, right down to the typeface. I did like the poster with Spidey in Times Square facing off against Electro, Green Goblin and Rhino. The color palette was cool. But, again, not nearly as good as Marvel's.

I actually did like that one.

The font for the next film's gotta pop. It's been 14 years, it's time we've moved on from that same old sleek looking grey spiderman font sony's been using. Also, the posters have to look somewhat real instead of drawn, I mean you can't really promote a film with concept art, and that's basically what the posters for tasm2 looked like; concept art. And for some reason sony always keeps the same exact color scheme for every single poster for each film. TASM was that dark blue, tasm2 was a brighter blue with white. They really don't need to do that, change things up. If your gonna put out multiple posters, make them actually look different.

(I realize most blockbuster posters keep the same color scheme, but tasm2s just felt so overbearing and looked super bland to me)

I love the posters Marvel uses. Heroes in front with main villain looming over them in the back. I can just imagine Spidey, MJ and Harry out in front with Mysterio's glowing helmet in the sky.

Marvel's are just magical. They're the kind of posters you see at the movie theater and say "I gotta see that one" because they just pack a punch. And their character posters are always sick as well.

One quibble though. I realize that the villains aren't a main focus for most of their films, but would it have killed them to have Winter Soldier and Ronan in their respective film posters? Still, just a minor nitpick. Ronan was kinda meh anyway :oldrazz:

I'm actually glad winter soldier wasn't an overarching figure in the posters, because that would've been a misdirection. But I agree, it wouldn't of killed them to put Ronan in the main poster. (However the focus of the promotion for that film was to emphasize the group above all else, so I get why they didn't. And I thought the posters they put out for that film were downright gorgeous.)

How many blockbusters have posters like this these days?

TWS's title alone is a misdirection, so having Bucky in the poster wouldn't have been that much more of one. But yeah, both posters were beautiful.

I like to think that winter soldier was the titular character because he symbolized the bigger picture.

Nah. How bout some crane dad bruh

Crane Dad vs. Laundry Sherrif: Dawn of the Disappearing Chimneys

Written and Directed by Avi Arad

Cinematography by Dick Poop (I'm sorry, I couldn't help myself)

My fear is that we won't actually get an official announcement about ANYTHING and we will be in this hype bubble for a long time.

I won't be remotely surprised if we have to wait til Comic Con.

We might have to wait until Comic Con, for something official.
