Good post man

I was also thinking, what if Norman creates like, a variation of the face disguise masks from winter soldier and uses that for the goblin (if the marvel deal ever is worked out)? That way the concept stays true to the 616 roots and it looks like a realistic goblin.

Best Goblin related idea I've read anywhere

There's been a lot of news in the past few hours. A spider-man announcement can't be too far behind

You mean movie news in general, like the Indiana Jones reboot rather than any specific Spider-Man news.

The only villains that came from Oscorp were Green Goblin, Doc Ock, Vulture, Sandman, and Rhino. And Goblin, Ock, and Vulture all worked at Oscorp.

Kraven, Venom, Electro, Lizard, Mysterio, Chameleon, Silvermane, Shocker, Tombstone, Hammerhead, The Enforcers, Molten Man, and Tinkerer were not Oscorp made villains.

I think it's perfectly fine if some villains come out of Oscorp. But in the TASM universe, Oscorp is the center of the universe and that just makes this whole "cinematic universe" feel so small.

This is why if they somehow continue on with TASM 3 they need Kraven.

They'll find a way to make him an Oscorp creation as well. Perhaps he'll be like Rhino: Kraven is a criminal from Russia and gets some technology/equipment from Oscorp.

The sad part is as bad as that idea sounds, it definitely fits into their universe. "Oh, you're a criminal? Let me experiment on you. I miscalculated? Oh no, now you're a monster. Go fight Spider-Man for me pls."

Sadly you're right. I don't think I can picture any villains in the TASM series that are not connected to Oscorp. That's why I think a reboot is necessary since they wrote themselves into a corner.

BTW, I like your avatar. I can picture Christopher Daniel Barnes saying, "It's not you Sony, it's me." How come I can't get an avvy yet?

CDB is always the voice in my head that comes up when I think of Spider-Man. I'm a 90's kid, the show was my childhood lol! And you need a certain number of posts and to be a user for a certain duration of time before it allows you to use one. The first one is 50x50 I believe? Then 75x75 then 100x100 (my size). Don't quote me on it though, it's something along those lines though.

You can get a 50x50 avvy on February 3rd. The reason you can yet, is because you need to be a member here for a month, and have 300 posts. (You're way over the post mark though lol)

Yeah I meant in general. It was like a checklist of things I've been wondering about being revealed. Spider-man's future is now the only thing left on my list.

Me too. I grew up with the 90s show so CDB is the voice that comes up for me as well. And thanks for the heads up about avvys. I'm new so it's probably too early for me to make one.

lol thanks! :)

Be a member for one month and have 300 posts = 50x50 avatar
Be a member for three months and have 1,000 posts = 75x75 avatar
Be a member for six months and have 2,000 posts = 100x100 avatar

Edit: Airnick beat me to it.

I think the delay of any Spider-Man confirmation hurts more purely because we're fans.

All the reboot speculation seriously drives me more insane every day. I think I'm gonna rewatch both TASM films today just to remind myself why I love them both so much.

I think its clear that Oscorp was intended to be the centerpiece of this series of films. That includes the angle with Peter's parents and the continuing rivalry that would have developed with Harry and his father Norman. Gwen's employment there. I wouldn't be surprised if Uncle Ben's killer was fired by Oscorp.

Or that Norman ordered the killer to kill Uncle Ben , i mean why not? he had them under surveilance...what a twist! :o

It's fine if Oscorp is the "evil organization" of the franchise but why does everything have to come out of Oscorp?

Perhaps lazy uninspired writing? Its the easiest explanation to go with when mutated individuals gain powers via a corporation who operates in experimentation and weaponry. A corporation led by shady individuals who deal in secret espionage.

I wish they established some villains that existed prior to the existence of Spider-Man.

Me too. That would be awesome. Who knows if the vulture wings and the doc ock arms in Special Projects are actually owned by villains?? What if they aren't villains yet??? What if the wings and tentacles are just being kept by Oscorp while Octavius and Toomes work at Oscorp??
Or what if Octavius and Toomes were always villains??? And they're working undercover for Norman Osborn???
Lots of possibilities
