This is a continuation thread, the old thread is [split]485425[/split]
Very interesting. It sounds however that it's about Sony's version of Spider-Man being in the MCU. I don't want that. I want Marvel Studio's own version. The best would be for the license to completely go back to Marvel.
I wouldn't mind that one damn bit. They really ****ed up GG. It should've been Norman first, that's always going to bother me.What if, somehow, we ended up with two different live action Spider-Men, just like the Quicksilver situation?
I think Sony would be smart to let Spider-Man into the MCU. As long as it's their version. What do they have to lose? I think it could only boost the character back into the spotlight.
To be honest, as much as I love Andrew in the role, I think it would be best if Marvel created their own thing if/when they get the rights instead of using Sony's version. That way, they could change canon as much as they like, and they wouldn't be creatively stifled.i really do want TASM version to be in the MCU

Totally agree. Its and Win/ Win for both sides. I certainly think putting him in with the other Marvel Pantheon would be a fresh change of pace, which is what I've been arguing that the character needs as opposed to another retread of themes and ideas hashed out in the Raimi films.
Even if Marvel decides not to go the civil war route, they could always go the Secret Wars route ...which of course you could bring in Thanos, Guardians of the Galaxy , and the symbiote black costume , which in turn could help set up Sony's eventual Venom film. Just an idea of what doors could be open with the addition of Spiderman.
I don't know if I want to see Spider-Man in the MCU. Judging from the comics the Marvel Universe treats Spider-Man like a D-List superhero and I'm not sure I want to see that in live action.
