Argh. Too true!

Seriously though... if they pick a "bigger" name, then IMO, Logan and Dylan are my top choices.

If not... unknown.

So 2016 is upon us now but still no word on the summit which we were supposed to hear about a year ago. 2015 was a blur.

I went and looked at some old threads back from when we were getting a Spider-Man 4. It's sad that Sony ditched the Raimi franchise. They could have made one more Spider-Man film in that series that would give it a good conclusion. Spider-Man 3 had a downbeat ending. Oh well, we can still imagine how the franchise would be today if we got a fourth film instead of a lackluster reboot.

I completely agree. :halo:

I think SM3 has a sweet ending. Peter learns a important lesson in forgiveness, and that things and people are not always what they appear, and him & MJ share a sweet dance with one another.

On one I want the deal to go through, because it's whats best for Spidey, but on the other hand, i hate unresolved plot threads , so i also want more Amazing Spider-Man movies
Being a comicbook movie fan is complicated

If they just ended TASM2 at the graveyard (the scene turns black and then transitions into setting up S6) not only would it have been a much more powerful ending than "I am zee rhino" but it would have given us a perfect ending to the TASM series. It was all about Gwen+Peter, so we could have regarded it as a miniseries exploring that part of the universe. Instead it's like, YOU WILL NEVER SEE RHINO, DR KAFKA, FEMALE CARNAGE, SCORPIA, COMIC RELIEF SANDMAN AND BUDGET DOCK OCK TEAM UP WITH SPIDEY TO TAKE OUT MALE CARNAGE AND VENOM.

Plus, a fade to black at a graveyard is my favourite film trope, followed closely by "You're not my father" and "Magic Blood". No wonder I liked TASM2 heaps

Should've ended at the graveyard with the deleted scene of Peter's father coming back, followed by Gwen's hand reaching out of the grave to grab at Peter's leg. :o

Not a chance. Some unspoken rule says that superhero movies must end on an upbeat tone for the sake of the children. Even Nolan knew that.

Personally I liked the ending. Life will always have bad moments be it some insignificant or life-altering ones, but eventually we'll have to pick ourselves up and move on. For me that's the message of Spider-man.

Day 2: still no announcement.

I feel the ending works best under the assumption another film is coming

Garfield did really well in that scene, you can hear the pain in his voice and then he turns around, stands tall and goes back to the jokey spidey.
