I could not stand that guy. The amount of flak I and others got off that guy when TASM 2 was being made.

Nearly everything he said was way off. He was one of the ones who thought Dane's Goblin would be as memorable as Heath Ledger's Joker, that TASM 2 would be the TDK of the Spidey movies, that it would make the 1.5 billion box office....and so forth.

He was away with the pixies. Fanboyism at it's most extreme.

I thought ASM2 would be the dark knight of spiderman movies but boy was I wrong. Given how quiet marvel is when they usually are very talkative with there fans makes me think somthing big is on the horizon.

Spiderman cameo in age of ultron !!! OMG I would run around my entire neighborhood 50 times. People are expecting Spiderman with marvel now and sony is in it deep. Somthings up i can feel it......

If the deal doesn't happen it may be worth avoiding the forum for a couple of weeks until the weeping and wailing dies down.
I was on the fence but now Garfield is pretty much out regardless I want Marvel to take over and the Webverse to be binned.

Has something been confirmed regarding Garfields departure, if so what is the source? or are you just speculating based on the rumors that have been circling for a while regarding Sony firing Garfield due to not showing up for one of the Sony obligatory engagements. This supposedly embarrassed the Sony big wigs and caused them to retaliate in such a manner. However, to my knowledge while it may be true it still has not been proven to be true. Unless you know something else.

That's probably you subconsciously conforming to the majority opinion in some way cause marvel. Also you only posted like an hour ago so perhaps posting on the hype while watching a movie changed your opinion slightly? Or maybe you didn't actually just watch the movie and it's all in your mind, where you dreamed about dreaming about Oscorp being renamed and reconfigured to Oscop, the greatest private police force ever known

I just watched it again and did anyone else notice electro was a bit cheesy?

If Marvel doesn´t get Spidey rights back, at least i hope they do an appropiate Spider-man cartoon...like SSM

Sony have the rights to make live action TV Spider-Man but not animated Spider-Man.

What? so it's impossible for me to post on the Hype and watch the movie at the same time? did it ever occur to you that I'm using a mobile device to post?
Every time I watch TASM2 I notice more and more flaws.

Listened to the Raimi interview. Really sounds like he has unfinished business with regards to Spider-Man. Really loves the character. I think he would return if asked.
Very annoying to think Sam made two great Spider-Man movies and that didn't earn him the right to a hands off approach from Sony for SM3.

I think Marvel have shown themselves as being incapable of making good animated shows. I have no idea why they don't hire Greg Wiseman and sack Geoff Leob.

A bit? Every scene with max/electro was cheesy IMO. Except some of the last fight...the death metal dub step theme certainly didn't help(made my ears bleed)

I like Electro. I like how he looked and how he sounded. I like how Goblin sounded but less impressed with the look (HATED Rhino, look and performance). Right now I am looking for more 'human' looking villains that don't need a ton of effects and make up. I want great performances now.

Sure, it would be great to have great visuals and performances but I think you will get better performances with minimal makeup and effects because you can have more takes, longer takes, and more shoots can be done 'in camera'.

Marvel or Sony, I don't really care. I want to see Spider-Man going up against a villain that gives a performance that rivals Joker in TDK or the bad guy in No Country for Old Men. Ledger had make-up but no visual effects.

I have idea why people are making fun of someone who had high estimates for the BO and critical reception of ASM2 before release. If you can't be optimistic about a movie before it comes out then when can you? **** realism. Before a movie comes out the sky is the limit.

There's a difference between optimism and realism. There was nothing to suggest that TASM 2 was going to make 1.5 billion or anything close to it. The hype for it was not anywhere near the levels of TDK or Avengers.
