Any quality that came from Sony Spider-Man products came from the people they hired, namely Greg Weissman, and in the movie's case Sam Raimi. When Sony puts their oar in about creative decisions things turn crap.
Exactly.

agreed, Sony just needs to hire a good director with vision , pay for the production and do minor feedback on the project

They've already got good direction in their producers

Avi Arad is better than Feige, all Sony need to do is exert studio pressure on whoever is directing. That way they'll make a great movie.

Hey guys, this is pretty cool...

Gives us a taste of how it would be for Spidey to join the Avengers, espcecially after 3:10! :wow:

Don't you guys know? He takes credit for starting the whole MCU for producing Iron Man and the Incredible Hulk.

We knew the world would not be the same. Few people laughed, few people cried, most people were silent. I remembered the line from the meeting between Sony and Marvel. Avi Arad is trying to persuade Kevin Feigue that he should ruin Spidey and to impress him takes on his multi-armed form and says, "Now I am become Death, the destroyer of all Spidey fan's dreams and hopes."
— Amy Pascal

Give Spidey to Universal.

Close, but no cigar. Spider-Man belongs at Legendary Pictures.

From the studio that brought you Dracula Untold
the crossover event movie to end all crossover event movies.

Spider-Man vs Dracula vs Godzilla

This is some excellent sarcasm.

You're joking or trolling us right? That's gotta be it.

He looked so weak because Spidey was not allowed to punch people due to heavy censorship.

Not being allowed to punch didn't mean that he should have been weak when it came to actually taking a hit. I mean Spidey often got hit just once and is either knocked out or too weak to carry on fighting. For instance, he gets shoved into a wall once by Rhino or swung into a statue by Carnage and is.....out cold?

I understand what BRAB is saying. Back in the day Arad was responsible for putting cinematic Marvel on the map and stopped the likes of Roger Corman from butchering more movies like FF. He negotiated a lot of the Marvel movie deals that keep Marvel from going into receivership. Therefore it could be argued Arad was more important than Fiege because he helped keep Marvel as a entity from going out of business than Fiege who helped set up the MCU (with Arad) because if Marvel had gone out of business there would be no MCU to set up. So like BRAB said, it's debatable who was more important for cinematic Marvel.

That said, Arad has lost his 'mojo.

In a way his accomplishments are negated by his desperate holding back of the last property he has left. It's sad.

The man is chipping away at his own legacy when he should be remembered as the guy who saved Marvel.

You are right but the problem is that he keeps producing, his intentions might be good trying to make a good spidey movie but he has been in this game too long that he doesn't realize the GA wants something different that what he can offer, i mean all the spider-man movies have been his production and for things to change he has to realize he needs someone else's vision to be presented and support it not change it into what he wants or thinks is better for the company
