That sounds awesome! Imagine Spidey taking them on at the same time! I imagine Vulture saying "screw this" and flying off like Nebula at the end of GOTG.

Good comparison! It actually reflects his origin with his business partner, somewhat. Maybe he finds another partner.... Like a certain hunter perhaps?

Wouldn't he make a grand Vulture. Although shaking his Magneto image may be tricky for some fans.

While you're right about them generally having different goals, Toomes has expressed desire to rule the world, too. Ock has generally displayed more intelligence than Toomes has. Not just in the scientific field, but as a criminal, too. I mean he even out smarted Vulture and the others in the Return of the Sinister Six arc, where he used them like puppets, and duped them all to carry out his plan, and then back stabbed them:

That isn't even the only time something like that happened with the Sinister Six. However, Ock and Vulture are the elder members of the group, so to speak. I've always imagined Vulture as second in command in whatever incarnation of the Six he's included in. Ock seems to have a bit more respect for him than the rest of the group.

At this point, I'm very anxious for some type of official news!

That'd be awesome too! Vulture needs to be emphasized as a deadly opponent. Remember, he absolutely trounced Spidey in their first battle, and he didn't even have to lift a finger. If Spidey runs out of web fluid during a Vulture fight, he's **** out of luck.

Well it's sure not Sandman lol:

That's how I kinda knew Sandman would be sympathetic if he was ever onscreen. Church did well enough to convey that. Anyway, to me, the hierarchy in the group to me is pretty much Ock, Vulture, and everyone else.

I do think Ock respects Toomes more than the rest, as I showed you in those other panels where they have their little mutual respect talk. Plus Ock did ask his opinion on an element of the plan once:

How does Sony even think it can capture the chemistry between these villains by throwing them into one movie without ever introducing them beforehand?

True, true. If I remember correctly, the original S6 fight went a bit like this.

Spider-Man vs. Electro

Spider-Man vs. Kraven

Spider-Man vs. Mysterio

Spider-Man vs. Sandman

Spider-Man vs. Vulture

Spider-Man vs. Doctor Octopus

So, Toomes being the second-to-last opponent in the lineup kinda hints at that order of command.

I never really thought of it that way. For example I wouldn't imagine him ranking Sandman above Mysterio. Beck has more brains than Marko.

Ikr, we'll just have to take their word that they all hate spiderman with a passion. Just like we had to take their word that Harry and Peter were best friends in tasm2

The order of the fight probably doesn't reflect the order of command beyond Doc Ock being "best for last."

I don't know. It's going to be an uphill battle for certain. I've never been convinced that the S6 movie would actually materialize, and with only one member of that group currently established, I'm still curious as to whether Sony wants to try something so risky and ambitious.

I liked seeing Peter and Harry hang together in TASM2, but their friendship (or past friendship) felt so forced and wasn't very believable.

With the S6, none of the villains (except Harry and Rhino) will have any connection to Spider-Man or prior relationship to him. They were just created to be evil and are just expected to hate him I guess. "You are good guy... I'm' a bad guy... therefore I hate you and must destroy you."

I don't think Sony can afford to do anything risky at this point. The problem is that they either play it safe and do nothing groundbreaking, or they do something risky and have a 90% chance of failing.

That's the guide book on how not to do it. There wasn't an ounce of chemistry between them. It never felt like they'd been friends for years. The dialogue was atrocious.

"My butler holds the mirror and I hold the comb"
"Oh there he is. There he is"

*Cringe*

That's what I thought.

They're stuck between a rock and a hard place in that regard. If they play it safe, they'll be faced with more declining box office figures. If they run a huge risk, they'll be faced with the possibility of a complete bomb rather than a disappointment.

I really don't see how Sony can do anything successfully without Marvel's help. Spider-Man movies are not cheap to make, and it's pretty clear that they are going to continue becoming less profitable with each installment. Unless they pull out a movie that is really incredible, they would be committing suicide with the next movie or so.

And at this point, a big box office bomb could easily lead to Sony selling off their film department

Sony did announce that they were shifting the focus of SPE (Sony Pictures Entertainment) from film to television.

Ultimately, I just want more Spider-man appearances. Yet we've seen Sony scrap their plans once before, and now things are in flux. I'd certainly go see an ASM3, but I don't want another 3-and-done scenario. There is so much more to be done with an iconic character like Spidey.

Was that part of the recent Hirai press conference? I haven't looked into the details yet.

This is what I found:

I don't want more bad Spider-Man movies. At this point I would prefer to see Spider-Man be put back on the shelf for 6-7 years instead of seeing TASM3 get made. Rather wait for a movie that will most likely be good than one that's bad.
