Question though: Why the hell would the online news outlets be reporting this as if the call came out today?

There are news outlets that even just a few days ago was still reporting about the first email heck that talked about the first marvel deal that Sony refused, and they did it like it was the latest news on the situation.

It kinda makes you wonder why Sony was casting for tasm3 so early though.

That's another point, it seems like a very odd website for a high budget film to be running their casting under

Yeah like you said people don't always get news right away even in todays age with all the technology and ever thing.

We aren't going to have a concrete confirmation or denial on any of this while Sony's in the mess that it's in. All we have to go on are gut instincts, weighing what seems more likely vs. what seems less likely. Personally, I don't see S6, TASM3, the female spinoff, or a second Sony reboot happening. But I don't know anything unless it's confirmed.

The sad thing is, even though we debuked this rumor (thank degraves for that) I can guarantee you that news sites will be using this story as click bait for at least a week

With the sumit I think we are going to be in for big news not matter if it is a reboot or asm3 or going back to marvel has just knowing what is going to happened or not happened is big news at this point after a million or 2 rumors.

Yeah I see click bait all the time on facebook lol. I saw this thing about the broncos having big news going into next season and it was just something about how peyton in going to come back lol. Its like yeah I no he is old but he is still playing at a very high level and no one really has said any thing bout him retiring after this season.

Whether one like it or not, the S6 is still slated for a 2016 release on the docket, until Sony says different. So we may have to cautiously go under the assumption, the propose film is still in play, and may be in some sort of pre-production.

Marvel has to move forward as well on CA:CW...they're not going to wait on Sony dragging things out to get a better, more controlling deal, on shared access.

Yeah that was the part that semed odd to me and why I think maybe it could be for sinister six instead or that they moved asm3 up. If they wore really do a reboot I don't think we would have a casting call that early to more a 2018 reboot and I don't see a reboot sm before 2017 and even 2017 would be kind of soon for a casting call when it is an extra like this.
