Well look at all the no name marvel characters out now that we thought couldn't carry a movie? They turned out fine.

Spider-Men was a great arc! I'm not sure if there was black magic involved, but I can't remember any specifics of that portal set-up he had. But yea, that story really brings mysterio out of the groundedness that surrounds his character.

In Edge of Time, mysterio had a peice of The Tablet of Order and Chaos that gave him true magic, and I loved that! With Doctor Strange introducing the mystic side of marvel, mysterio can definitely acquire some form of black magic.

Absolutely. I really hope we get to see Mysterio on film at some point. My worry is that sony will continue to make Spider-Man movies and go through all of the best villains before Marvel gets to do it.

Anybody else wanna see lizard again this time with a family and son? Like that was a missed oppurtunity on sony not to add conners son to the mix as he's very important to conners in everyway. Also sandman in marvels hands would be cool to see.

The first Mcu villian I like to see them take on is scorpian.

Maybe no right away, but Lizard is a villain that should be used again. Still wish we could get Dylan Baker's version of the character.

I sort of disagree. Scorpion is a villain that fits in with the Spider Slayers, both of which were created to destroy Spider-Man for Jameson, so I think there is a lot to tell. Gargan started as a man hired to spy on Peter Parker to see what connection he has to Spider-Man, and when that went nowhere, he was turned into the Scorpion (can't remember if this happened before or after the spider slayers were created).

After seeing the leaks, all I got to say is this.

Give Spidey back to Marvel or have Raimi return. Sony can't reboot. If they do, they lose all fans and it seems Garfield was fired.

I kind of prefer Raimi coming back. Say what you will but still with Nolan's Batman Trilogy, more X-Men films, & the MCU, Spidey 2 is still in the top 3 of comic book films of all time and the best Marvel film.

Spider-Man 2 is a masterpiece.

Although I don't think they'll ever get Raimi again. I would love if they decided to go back and continue the franchise that he created but that would be all too confusing for the general audience.

I don't really want a continuation of the TASM series either. So honestly I just want them to reboot the character for the MCU and forget those two movies ever happened. Seriously, they're like the Schumacher films of the Spider-Man franchise.

Raimi's Spider-Man was the first modern Superhero blockbuster franchise. It showed people that comicbook films could be super smash hits again after Batman and Robin nearly destroyed the genre. Blade was a hit and X-Men was an even bigger hit but both did peanuts compared to Spider-Man. Spider-Man films should be guaranteed 900 million worldwide in this day and age, they only reason a Spider-Man movie hasn't hit that number and more is because of Sony's executives delusional ideas that they are creatives.

It's probably unlikely at this point, but it's not impossible. Bryan Singer returned to X-Men and Martin Campbell returned to James Bond after a number of years, so Raimi returning to Spider-Man could theoretically happen.
