I would LOVE to see the return of Blackie Drago.... in fact, when there was talk of a new Vulture, I was hoping it was him...

I also love the added head gear he wore...

:csad:

I KNOW, I always felt that if Drago got his balls back and his s**t together and coordinate his act, he could have been an even MORE of a vicious Vulture than what he was back in the day...

so yes, BRING Drago back... why not?... hell, they even brought back Lucky Lobo from ASM #23, sometime around the mid to late 90's...

and speaking of lame-o characters, you know who we haven't seen in a LONG time?... Joe Smith from ASM #38... not that I'd WANT him to return, I never liked his character, thruout his various returns several years ago...

Joe Smith returned after TASM #38? When was this?

I actually love issue 38 a lot, but I don't think the character was worth bringing back again.

That head gear was my introduction to the character, as that is what the Vulture wore in the 60's cartoon! It was wierd when I got to the comics and instead saw a bald old man! :oldrazz:

not sure, but I think Drago the Vulture was in the comics around this time... if so, than more than likely his look was incorporated into the cartoon...

I can't remember that far back, but was the cartoon Vulture with the headgear Blackie or the original, Adrian Toomes?

Honestly, I don't think they really went into alter egos. He was just the Vulture. Like the Green Goblin wasn't Norman Osborn. Just some guy who wanted the secrets of magic. He was even in jail in one episode.

This is one of my favorite issues.

^ have always seen this at the shops but never picked it up. What's so good about it?

Peter David probably had the most consistently funny run Spidey has ever had. But his comedy was grounded and never stupid (like most Deadpool runs that aren't Joe Kelly), and he could still do dramatic stories damn well, too. Everyone talks about his Hulk run, but not enough people remember how great his Spidey was as well.

Alright cool. If it sucks...you both owe quoting all my posts and agreeing with them for the rest of your time at SHH.
Hehe the comic is just really funny. Another one I would recommend is:

This one is the definition of FUNNY. :D

Haha yeah I was jk.
I don't even need to write the number of the issues down. These covers are so memorable, I'll remember them that way.

All you need to remember is Spider-Man on a train, and Jameson punching the ol' web-head.

Yeah...sure, you got it. :whatever:

Hell, yeah. That was the Daydreamers story. It was kind of a day in the life, breather issue sandwiched in between all the Hobgoblin stuff. It also explored the angle of how Spidey inspires people.

ASM 200-300 was such a great era of Spider-Man.

Amazing 246, Page 16,....
Who is that above Crusher Creel in the top panel?

Yeah...sure, you got it. :whatever:

You got that right! Though my favorite era will always be the Ditko/Lee era.

Is it worth getting the "Untold Tales of Spider-Man Omnibus?"

I think so. It was some of Kurt Busiek's earliest, major Marvel work. It was well received and very popular book at the time. Pat Olliffe really captured the spirit of that era with his artwork.

Well that's cool. I remember there being an issue about Peter's parents being spies in that series. I think I'll get this soon.

This book was only 99 cents when it first came out as an alternative to the higher priced (at the time) books that were $1.50.

I also heard that SHIELD is written on the cover but they aren't actually part of the story at all.
