Harry.
But I always wondered if that was who it was really supposed to be.

It was Harry... he says he was there in ASM # 136/137 (I believe)

:yay:

I think it was revealed later that it was Harry Osborn. But I might remember it wrong.

Thanks for clarifying, guys! Really appreciate it. :)

I read The Death of Gwen Stacy not too long ago and I remember that. No clue. TMITS? lol

Haha, y'know there have been a number of characters who started out "in the shadows." Norman Osborn, Harry, Mac Gargon (pre-scorpion), etc. Always loved those mystery elements in the comic books.

I like a mystery, but I hate it at the same time.
1 - If a new author comes in, they decide who the Shadow Person is and it's nearly never who it was originally supposed to be.

2 - A mandate later on will change who the writer had originally envisioned

3 - if dragged on long enough the readers will figure it out and the author will change it just for the hell of it, story/sense be damned

In some cases it did work out. For example: Green Goblin. Wasn't it only decided to make him Norman Osborn afterwards?

At the end of TASM #122 (the final showdown), who is the character watching Spider-Man in the shadows?

it's been so long and my memory is probably faulty, but I think it WAS Harry, and later on Dr. Hamilton used that information to search out the Green Goblin's hideouts, as Hamilton was Harry's psychiatrist back then...

I can't remember how it all went down exactly, but I believe this is where the Osborn/Hamilton connection came in, with Harry revealing what he knew under hypnosis to Hamilton and Hamilton taking advantage of the situation.....

I'm just one of the few old-time and long-time Spidey fan/historians around here... I'm just a fountain of knowledge and information, LOL...:woot:

anytime, m' man...

Perhaps… what if Peter Parker is a reincarnation of Jesus? HOLY MOLY! lol

But the One More Day storyline "never happened." ;)

Harry only went to see Hamilton after he was deemed "insane" after his capture in ASM #137... so the Hamilton connection only started at that time...

:yay:

Now I'm currently up to TASM #252. Just got the "Birth of Venom" TP in the mail today! :D

I just read an interesting piece over at Bleeding Cool that both McFarlane and Quesada are down for a Spawn/Spider-Man crossover.

Honestly I'd prefer McFarlane to do an issue of ASM but this is intriguing nonetheless.

That is quite interesting. Well if this really does happen, I'll certainly give it a shot and read it.

I don't know about you, but I don't see any similarities.

I have issues #422 and #425, so I will go check them out again later. This artwork looks like its from one of those issues, or at least some spidey comic from the 90s.

Anybody know which issue this is from?

ugh... I recognize the ugly art pf Steve Skroce ANYWHERE... I consider him as one of the two worst Spidey artists ever... I railed on his art back then and I was so glad when he moved on...

I wouldn't consider it ugly, but its not the most beautiful comic book art that I've seen.

THAT'S an understatement... though it IS better than the other all-time worst Spidey artist...

but not by much...

I don't mind it that much, but oh well. *shrug*
