But the lizard swat team don't show up until the last battle upon the Oscorp building. So who knows.

How do we know that? What do we really know about the SWAT Lizards other than the fact that they exist and take part in at least one battle with Spider-man?

all I can say is please give the lizard a personality. outside of a horror movie can you think of a primal creature that works well as a villian/foil for the hero.

predator - action
alien - horror
pitch black - horror
pumpkin head - horror
attack the block - horror
american warewof in london - horror

if you are playing up the horror aspects of the movie then primal works, if not then primal is a mistake because it's too much of a shift from the pacing of scenes of the hero.

I think we are going to be getting a well balanced mix of intelligence and feral from The Lizard.

As far as the Swat Lizards go, I think people are looking to much into the swat part of the name.

They are simply going to be the movie versions of the Lizard men the Lizard often makes in the comics. How they get that way is the question. Was it on purpose, by accident, or done in an attempt to find a cure?

Well,in the comics Lizard used to command reptiles instead.

It mostly depends on the reason for their existence, but there is also the problem that it makes the Lizard less unique. If there are multiple other lizards running around, why is the Lizard himself so special?

The Lizard is usually special among them because he's usually portrayed a being VASTLY more intelligent them them or seen a a god to the Lizard men.

I think, on paper, it looks like something I'd expect from a cartoon series or a game.

I hope Webb is good enough to make it look great, understandable and not stupid. Of course some of that is on the script too, not just the director.

Fighting a bunch of reptilian creatures is a hell of a thing to throw at a fresh faced Spider-Man. I keep forgetting that this is being rebooted to high school and is his first outing.

I actually don't have a problem with other lizards. In the comics, he had a reptile army, so it works for me. And I'm sure this movie will be great, no matter what.
