I really wish I could cheer you up and say, that I know all the details, but, sadly, I'm not aware of anything right at the moment. Would be great, if Sony decides to release ASM trailer coincidently with the second Avengers trailer, but somehow I doubt it will happen.

Ah, thanks anyways, man. :)

Haven't really been following the Avengers news recently, should we be expecting another trailer for that soon as well?

Why cant you just sub the digtal comic at marvel.com for only 9$ per month then you can read ton of Spidey comic books: ASM 1-110, Gwen's death, black cat, some hobgoblin, black suit saga, vemon saga, KLH, Max Carnage, ( much more) 500- 650, MANY short stories like SM: blue etc, and complete run of USM and Spider-girl too
One, because I can't afford $9 a month. [I only get $4 a week]. Two, because I like to have an actual book to take with me on vacation and I just prefer actual books. Three, because it is more fun to read them on vacation. I've noticed that a lot of things are a lot more fun on vacation than doing them at home. And finally, it's more special that way. If I read Spidey comics all the time, it wouldn't be as much fun. But I did recently buy volume 13 which has The Death of Gwen Stacy. As you might've guessed, Gwen's my favorite character, so it's sad that she dies, but from what I've heard, the issue is really good, so I look forward to reading it.
Edit: Noticed you changed your username to Mary Jane Watson. Nice. [Thumbs up]. I thought you couldn't change your username.

Yes. Russian cinemas will be receiving the prints of the new trailer on the next week. And then they'll attach it to some movie. The real question is when they'll release it online.

Good point.

There's some real good stuff in the Brand New Day era and I found that to be a breath of fresh air. Dan Slott's current run I'm really loving as well, I think Brand New Day/Big Time is the most exciting for me reading as I was losing interest by the end of JMS' run.
Agreed compeltely! By the time OMD had come out, I was relaly losing interest in the obok, but then BND happened and, as you said, it was a breath of fresh air. Dan Slott, IMO, is one of the best writers of the past decade.

Nothing terribly interesting in the article, but Rhys does mention the film's budget being 160 million pounds. I did a quick conversion of pounds to dollars and it came out as just shy of 250 million! I know we've known for awhile that the budget was well over the original claim of 80 million, but last time I checked the highest we had heard was 220 million.

^ Mhm interesting. No wonder why their marketing sucks. :o

because all the money went on the film leaving no money for marketing?

web
garfield
stone
aren't going to be on big money.

250m? for what? the special effects must be the best ever. also if they have spent over a 100m for effects then they should have gone to ILM or WETA.

I'd expect marketing to start rolling this month. This will be one awesome year. :awesome:

Yep :awesome: man, I remember when I was speculating about Spider-man 4 with my friend just after seeing Spider-man 3, and it feels like that was so long ago... seeing Spidey again finally is going to feel EPIC

160 million pounds? If that is true then this could easily be the Green Lantern of 2012. Poor advertising combined with a lot of resistance from moviegoers combined with a huge budget means this could be a potential disaster.

How is Sony Pictures being this irresponsible with the future of the entire studio in doubt?

I think it's way too early to say that marketing has been bad. I think this month is just when marketing will begin until the film comes out.

Agreed. Plus, it's not like we haven't had anything up to this point. We got a teaser a year before the release date and we've had a good spread of pictures.
