All I know is that it had better be epic or it will be shredded without mercy. General fans roll their eyes at the idea of a reboot this fast.

Also, this unnecessary reboot has split the fan base like no other movie that I can think of. I'm a Marvel nut who will fight for most Marvel films until my dying breath but will cut this film no slack at all. If it's bad, look out.

Are you implying there is such a thing as a necessary movie?

I think he means that the reboot is unecessary. Where we can all agree that Batman Begins was a necessary film, not all of us can say the same about TASM.

Not necessary for human survival. Batman Begins was necessary to save the franchise, though. Some people think the Spider-Man franchise isn't in need of saving, therefore TASM would be an 'unecessary' film.

Batman Begins was basically WB's gateway into making good quality movies and making a good quantity of money at the same time.

Even though the web-head didn't have it so bad, it's the same scenario here. It's time to give the Raimi audience something new to taste.

Necessary to save the franchise? As if they'll ever stop making Batman movies.

Mhm, today my local newspaper finally had say something about TASM. It sounded seem not really thrill about it and complained about Andrew G's age. It was like..."Andrew G (ahem) is 27 year old to play Peter Parker as high school student ".

I just wanted to punch a wall.

I hope they all eat their words then rot.

BTW, love your avatar.

I disagree. See below.

The people that blindly just hate this reboot and say that it's unnecessary, they forget how bad Spider-man 3 was and that Spider-man 4 was only gonna be worse. Even if this movie is just ok, I bet that it's way better than what Spider-man 4 would've been.

So, even though the changes in the costume weren't exactly needed, I would say that this reboot itself was necessary

atill is more faithuful to what bane looks like than his look in TDKR...idk the mask in TDKR just irks me

I definately prefer nolan's look than that PoS. it's not possible to look at s**tmakers take on bane and feel intense rage.
from now on any character that gets short changed in a movie people should say they got 'baned'. venom was 'baned' in SM3.

as for GL being a flop, the trailer was definately a big reason for that. sure it didn't help the movie was panned but TF2 was panned and made a fortune.

it was a combination of things that killed green lantern;
relatively unknown character
terrible trailer
poor movie
bad WOM

ASM just needs a half decent trailer and it will be okay. turn off the dark has been savaged by critics and is making a fortune and that's a play.

I doubt that we will get a half decent trailer with the time they have spent with it.

Well I can promise you guys they will be a trailer released before the date of July 3rd 2012. It's what my sources are telling me.

It's good information I know. So don't say I don't give you people anything. :p
