He still had super strenght in TSSM, right? Otherwise, a mix of that and the 90's TAS version of him would be cool.

He sure did. In TSSM he was throwing Spidey around like a rag doll.

Things which have bewildered me in the trailer
1.Why is the footage backwards at 0:07?
2.Spiderman spends more time without his mask than with it :|
3.The origin story:If it is something to do with his dad experimenting on him, than its a bad step IMO,its like mocking the comic books.
But it could be that his dad created the mutated spider, and he was responsible for the circumstances leading to peter getting bitten

If latter's the case then its an awesome change.Lets see,'Do you think what happened to you was an accident?' could mean any of the two

4.The character of Dr Ratha, they said he was a negative character, difficult to see how he features in the story line, maybe just a minor character

See I don't understand that people keep saying he has his mask off more than he has it on. 90% of the clips in the trailer showed him swinging around or doing something in full Spider-Man costume. The only parts he didn't have his mask was at the very beginning, when he's holding that flaming car, when he gets unmasked by the police, and at the very end. Everything in between he was in full costume.

There's also a picture showing him to be unmasked in what looks like Connor's lab, as well as when he's fighting in the library.

I agree with you though. To me, I don't care whether the mask is on or off, as long as it's at the right moments. With some Ultimate influence, I fully expect his secret identity to be a little less stringent. From what it seems, Gwen, Capt. Stacy, and Connors/Lizard all discover it. It makes sense in reality and I never really had a problem with it in the Ultimate comics. He's just a kid and it would be incredibly difficult to keep his identity a perfect secret.

Am I the only one that is dying to know who the hell is the one talking with Connors about Peter? He has never been in another trailer, his face doesn't give me a clue... Maybe it's Osborn in a Sherlock Holmes (2009, with Moriarty showing off just in the shadows) way to show the villain.

Don't know, I just know that TASM now beats TDKR in terms of hype, surprisingly. Maybe that's because the last trailer of TDKR is too slow for a final trailer.

The TDKR trailer was great. It started off small and built up to a beautiful crescendo. The music in that trailer was awesome.

I wish I could comment on the TASM trailer...I won't be able to until later this afternoon when I go to see Avengers. Thoroughly looking forward to it.

They could always go with Tombstone for the organized crime element.

Tombstone or Hammerhead or even Silvermane. I've been clamoring for someone to inject that element in Spidey's movies because it's such a big part of his story and the motivation of a lot of his villains. Plus, I feel like there's a lesson he needs to learn by tangling with the guys who not only have power through money, but politics as well; he'd learn that good and bad doesn't always matter in this world because with enough money and clout, you can get out of anything.

It's Michael Massee. He's officially listed as portraying a David Lowell.

Believe it or not there are more Bat fans visiting TASM threads right now.

Many Bat fans are happy with TDKR trailer, and have no doubt that Nolan's trilogy will be very successful, and looking froward to TASM too.

This is a great year for comic book movies.

I personally can't believe I'm going to see two potentially awesome movies about my two favorite superheroes in the same month.
Now let's hope they both actually deliver.

IMDB is not officially listed. Plenty of unreliable stuff there. At this point, its conjecture. However, if his casting list on IMDB is from official info, chances are its a red herring.

Well, what can I say? The trailer's just awesome: the photography is exceptional, the actors are great, the plot seems to be very interesting... Can't wait to see TASM! I'm almost sure it will be better the TDKR.

No need to compare the two (TASM and TDKR) as both have their own unique style and take on the hero.

Both are awesome.

Both are awesome.
Agreed. Between ASM, the Avengers and TDKR, this is gonna be a great summer for movies. They're all completely different it style, story and scope. No need to try and get any bashing going. I'm excited for em all equally :D

Well, yeah, all in all you're right.
But do you think they have changed Spidey's origin? The trailer seems to confirm that.

Both are awesome.
Yes, they are, I just said that I'm more hyped for one of them, as being two of the biggest movie of the year. I could have said that I liked more the Prometheus trailer than the TDKR (which, I actually did).

I'm pretty excited for TDKR, but the trailers are maybe too slow for being a big action movie for the summer. This last trailer should have been the first one, and the final trailer should have been a fast, intense trailer. Like the second one :D

The progression of the trailers from TASM is perfect for me, a good teaser, a pretty good first trailer, and an epic final trailer.

since your all talking about sequels this is how i would like them to go.

The Amazing Spiderman 5
(2hrs 34mins)

Sally Fields as Aunt May
Amanda Seyfried as Mary Jane Watson
Emma Stone as Gwen Stacy

Plot Outline:
Venom vs Spiderman and the end of the film Norman comes backs to New York, revealing that he didn’t really die. It would end like this, because I just feel that its a good way to end by having spiderman defeat his toughest enemy (venom)and then his arch nemsis comes back.

The trailer was okay. Besides the new look of Lizard(labcoat) and Spidey's smartass comment, I can't say it made me overly excited. I still want to see the movie, but it's still my least anticipated film of the summer. Again, I think the movie will be quite the underdog and that will be a good thing, but the trailer just seemed flat to me.

They are finally making some use to his wall-crawling abilities.

Well it's kinda cool because they finally have someone worthwhile to crawl as well besides Spidey. That scene was pretty cool.

Hey Doc, glad to see you like it. I think this is gonna be AMAZING to see in 3D.

Hey Slag.

I concur. It looks like a real visual treat. After seeing how good The Avengers was in 3-D I have high hopes for this.

Searched through your post history to find this lol.

I have a stalker. Yay :oldrazz:

Glad you loved it, as I did too.

What's your stance on Raimi's movies? I don't think I've ever read your opinion on them.

One thing I'll ask though is what do you think of the increasing possibility of them going "Hulk" with his origin? That might get messy imo.

What's going Hulk with his origin mean? Are you referring to the back story with his parents?

There's plenty of comic stories that delve into Peter's parents. I think if they keep a clear focus on what they want to do with it then it shouldn't get messy.
