Ive been anticipating this for ages, you people know how much I want this to be good.

^ Yeah but keeping your expectations low is never a bad thing. Just look at Prometheus, according to some people it was going to be the movie of the century, yet according to the reviews it is indeed good, but not THAT good.

The "what if" factor should never be underestimated.

Yeah, WANT this to be good! We all want. But you're acting like you know for fact already that this will be the film of all films.

It's really annoying when people are overly negative (which you probably should know), but it's equally annoying when people are overexaggerating things the other way around as well before we've even seen the film.

That's just because some people expected something that was never promised.

I can't see this movie sucking that bad though, so that's a plus.

I feel like the trailers and clips have revealed so much, that you can pretty much piece the whole movie together. If that is the cast, then I am loving what I have seen so far, and how I envision the movie.

The thing is, I am not expecting this movie to be "FREAKING EPIC!" I expect it to have a little bit of that "smaller" feel, which is fine. Batman Begins wasn't so "epic," but it did a good job of setting up sequels, and I feel like that is what this movie could be. Heck, maybe this will be epic for all we know with the final battle.

I don't think it's that serious... We've seen instances of entire fights, there is going to be 10x the quantity of footage tying what we've actually seen together.

Or maybe I've just learned to not do that anymore, like I used to.
Its not the amount of footage that we have seen, but the types of scenes they revealed.

We know that the movie will show Peter's past as a kid, he will grow up into an outcast, meet Gwen Stacey, find a briefcase, investigate Oscorp, get bit, get powers, Uncle Ben will die, he becomes Spider-Man, cops are trying to hunt him down, he finds out that what happened to him wasn't an accident (probably referring to his past as a child), talks to Connors, finishes his formula, Connors is the lizard, he is after Dr. Ratha, attacks him on bridge where Spiderman saves kid, relationship with Gwen grows, Lizard does a biological attack on NYC, he fights Spider-Man again, Captain Stacey dies, Lizard is captured and turned back into human and imprisoned, Gwen is mad at Peter because of her father, and there is a hint to the next villain (probably Green Goblin).

That is exactly the reason people reacted to so strongly to SM3. That film had the most hype I've seen on here aside from TDK. People had huge expectations for it. When the film turned out to be a mediocre superhero movie (it really isn't THAT bad, when you start looking at the truly bad superhero films out there) people flipped. There were people saying it's the worst movie they've ever seen, which is ridiculous, because, as I've said, it's not even close to one of the worst superhero films out there. And I don't even really like the raimi films all that much.

But insane hype can also set you up for insane dissappointment. Keep that in mind.

Oh yeah, SM3 was a disappointment, but there is so much worse. We have Supergirl, Superman III and IV, Elektra, Fantastic Four, Barb Wire, The Punisher: War Zone, Ghost Rider: Spirit of Vengeance, Catwoman, The Spirit, Batman & Robin, etc.

Stop trying to deduce so much if you don't want to know.

I'm more looking forward to how the story plays out from point to point, from plot device to plot device. The storytelling.

Plus, there will be so many more shots/sequences of Spidey webslinging... I would pay admission just to watch those alone.

I am not trying to put the movie down in any way, I am really looking forward to it. I am just saying it feels as if they revealed so much in the trailers, that we know what the movie is going to be like already.

My worry about the shots of Spider-man swinging is that all of them are at night. I am worried that most of them are part of the same scene.

Frankly, they showed NOTHING of the action sequences, we just got the same pieces over and over again, a few snippets here and there, that's it.

So that"s great from Sony, that way, we'll be surprised.

but he's right in saying that you can feel like it's revealed too much if you're playing detective. If you just take it at face value and don't put too much thought in it and just let it wash over you, you won't be in that position. I haven't been like that with any movie, even Spider-Man 3 where the trailers showed a lot of scenes, I just let it wash over me and watch the flick in the theater. Sure, I can think of beats that will be in this movie but why would I ruin it for myself like that? That's no fun :woot:

We see Spider-Man fighting off the SWAT team, and running from them. Then we see him fighting Lizard in the school, on several different buildings, on top of Oscorp, in the sewers, and Spider-Man saving the kid on the bridge/in the car.

I feel like we have seen a lot.

The trailers for TDK shows a lot, but the entire plot is still mostly a mystery. We don't know where the "final battle" will take place.

Like I said in the trailer thread:

Avengers showed a lot more and there was still a lot of the movie that was not shown.

I do not know if this has already been mentioned, but I think that
the blue thing that is launched from the tower on top of Oscorp is the antidote made by Peter or someone else in order to clean out those were infected

You do make an excellent point there. The Avengers released an easy 20-30 minutes of footage out of 2 hours and 20 minutes.

We have been given about 10 minutes of footage of a movie which is about the same length.

Interesting idea... I like it!

The facebook likes are good but go check youtube

TDKR Rises trailer 3 has been seen 17 million times, and TASM,well 4 million or something

Yup they marketed Avengers loads to the point where people were fretting they've seen way too much, but in fact everything they showed, apart from a tease snippet of the final battle, we barely saw anything.

Sony, with the way they're marketing it seem to be doing a simlar sort of thing, ( the extended TV Spot and the exclusive 6 minutes, and the 3 clips with the game etc) in hyping up the movie, which isn't a bad imo. and the tower fight on top of Oscorp, we've seen ONE SHOT. That's it.
