I mean, you could always do both, right? lol it's a long weekend

Yah, I could watch both, but hey...if someone wants to whine because I'm talking about another movie besides TAS-M, then...it'll be Stone's film, lol.

I care. Because it not being number one that weekend would give Avengers fanboys and Nolanites ample ammo to throw iin our faces about how those films (The Avengers and TDKR) were superior and always were gonna be, even though I do want it to be a great film over anything else but I digress.

Watchmen wasn't number one, was it? And it was STILL a great movie.

It shouldn't matter to you if it doesn't get to that spot and it shouldn't bother to you on what Avenger fanboys or "Nolanites" want to say.

No other film except TASM will be watched that week by me good sir. I'm tempted to never watch the Raimi films again after that week.

Ehh....I'll still watch 1 and 2 even after the reboot.

Spidey board is full of trolls

Irony :awesome:

thanks. I check that in two days to see what the rating for the new trailer is.

I admire your guts and desire to protest my friend, a man after my own heart lol. Not saying I'm doing it but I completely feel you lol. I remember seeing spider-man 2 back to back weekends in 04 so I'm wondering if I will pull that trick again this time

Well, I will of course watch the reboot, but not watching the film won't be the death of me. Savages does sound like a great movie, and maybe I'll watch TAS-M during the week.

well anytime you use the words "crime" "oliver stone" and "pulp fiction" how can the outcome possibly be bad?? I'll just see both

the only thing worrying me is if critics would like it, i mean, not that the movie would be bad, just if early screening critics hate it noone will want to see it

We are talking about Iconic spiderman here not something like Ironman. Spidey and Batman and Superman are the three most iconic heroes ever made. People will see this movie regardless of what critics say. Now I know superman returns didnt do well but for good reason. The trailer looked stupid and the movie was boring. This movie looks interesting.

Agreed. How about we just have ourselves a TASM/Savages movie-thon. Go see each movie as many times as you can... until you get sick of seeing them and go home.

Seriously though, I'll probably see both too.

that movie thon actually sounds like a good idea..not for savages but I wouldn't mind seeing spidey a lot. I mean if it is REALLY good, I wouldn't put it pass me seeing it several times in theaters, I already have two times built in now

Yeah, I expect to see Spidey at least twice. If its good enough, maybe twice in one day considering I'm gonna go to a midnight showing if they have them.

We should all be funny and go see TASM on the day TDKR comes out. There would probably be little to no people in those theaters.

hm you never know, the flick may have legs. Not saying it'll have the legs the dark knight had or even avatar but it is possible it could have some staying power for those three weeks..who knows

Yeah. I'll definitely be there for the midnight show, and see it again (probably in 2d if they have it) on opening night... not to mention I HAVE to see it in IMAX at some point :woot:

IMAX is definitely a plus. I think my IMAX viewing of it will have to be the first viewing.

True. I see your point. I'm overreacting but come on.. are you telling me you wouldn't be even a little upset if by a miracle TASM bombed but was still a fantastic movie?

I would. I'd be happy with the film but still peeved by the performance (mainly because I'd wish more would've seen how good it was).

Like Scott Pilgrim VS The World, great movie, poor BO production.

I blame Michael Cera for that one lol. People just hate him. I don't personally, and love Scott Pilgrim vs the world. But I don't see that happening to ASM. At its worst it'll make Batman begins numbers. Unless they show us some badass footage, word of mouth will be its saving grace. I have a casino royale, Batman begins vibe from this film. I just hope I'm right and its as good as, or hopefully better than those two films.

People don't like Micheal Cera because Michael Cera always plays Michael Cera.
