Yeah, I agree the scene where
Peter is slowly putting his mask on in front of the cop that that cop is Captain Stacy, and that this is the moment Captain Stacy starts to change his mind about Spider-Man. And I also agree this ties into the eventual climatic battle with the Lizard at Oscorp, in which Stacy allows Spidey to do his thing. However, I'm guessing the climatic battle is also the moment in which Captain Stacy will die, crushed by the falling debris of the collapsed Oscorp tower. This will then be the moment in which Captain Stacy will tell Spidey to take care of Gwen, thus adding more guilt onto Peter and, considering Gwen will likely know Peter is Spider-Man in this film, also make her blame Peter for not being able to protect her dad. And I also think that this will be the very thing that motivates J. Jonah Jameson in the second film (I mean, come on, he has to show up eventually) to go on his anti-Spider-Man crusade, in that a costumed vigilante actions cost the life of a great and dedicated upholder of law and order.

Anyway, like the 2nd trailer, the international trailer is pretty good, although it still gives the impression based on the dinner scene that
Peter, as Spider-Man, is already fighting crime before Uncle Ben gets killed, which, if that's the case, I'm apprehensive about. And I REALLY hope that it doesn't turn out, like the sizzle reel seems to imply, that Uncle Ben is murdered, not as a result of Spidey choosing to let a criminal get away, but rather because Uncle Ben had to change his shift at work because of Peter's fight with Flash Thompson and ends up getting killed by a criminal Spidey never previously encountered.

If that is the way it works, it would make sense for Jonah to pick up the anti-Spider-Man act because he was a fan of Stacy and also blames Spider-Man for his inability to protect him. (Irony, yes, but this is Jonah...)

The first part is unsure, but there have been set videos of Peter walking in front of a general store, sees a criminal run out, ignores him, keeps walking, hears a gunshot. So he will know the person responsible for Ben's death.

Ah, so if that's the case
it sounds like the film is taking cues from Ultimate Spider-Man yet again, since in that comic, the bad guy Peter lets get away actually does rob a grocery store and Peter is not in costume at the time when this happens. The main difference compared to USM and the film, however, would be that, unbeknownst to Peter, Uncle Ben happens to be in the area at the same time and gets killed there.

Actually, I admit to being confused, how do we know where that dinner scene with Stacy's takes place? Couldn't it take place also AFTER Uncle Ben's death? How do we know it takes place before?

CAP: "Tell us about yourself, Mr. Parker."
PETER: "There isn't much to say."
GWEN: "Peter lives with his Aunt AND UNCLE."
*Immediately after*
KID: "Did you catch that spider-guy yet?"

Because Gwen says "Peter lives with his Aunt and Uncle" in that scene. If his Uncle was dead, I don't think she'd say that.

Because Uncle Ben is mentioned, people are assuming Peter's out doing his spider-thing before his death. Which seems likely, tbh.

I win.

Seems like it will be vigilante/proto-type suit Spider-Man before Uncle Ben dies and hero/red-and-blues afterwards.

Nice catch lol. That's what went right over my head.

PETER: "There isn't much to say."
GWEN: "Peter lives with his Aunt AND UNCLE."
PETER: "My uncle is deeeaaaadddd!"

Taking off that...

GWEN: Peter lives with his parents.
PETER: I'm adopted!

What the hell?! How did Ultimatehero quote Whiskey's post...if it didn't exist yet...?

*Boom*

I don't even

Two things I noticed from the international trailer that I think have improved:

1. The shot from behind Spidey while he's swinging isn't shaky anymore and looks very smooth.
2. The webshooters have more a "thiwp" sound to them now when they're fired, but they still sound mechanical.

I really like the new dialogue in there as well. Garfield definitely masked his accent very well.

Time traveller! Get him before he escapes! :argh:

Yeah, I confess I'm a time traveler. * Sighs *. I Ultimatehero am an actual real life mutant. I came out to my parents and friends a little while ago. They're okay with it - I'm still looking for others though. God the bigotry is intense! Anyone know where I can find other mutants to play pranks with? :woot:

I'm a mutant too. I have the uncanny ability to not give a **** when someone wants to tell me about their life.

The main thing I picked up from the trailer -
Spidey is putting on his mask SLOWLY in front of a COP. I'm guessing Captain Stacey does find out who he is in this film.

Which is fine, really. I mean he does know Spidey's alter ego in the comics...he tells Pete to take care of Gwen while on his death bed.

Also, Ultimate hero obviously went back and edited his comment after Whisky Tango posted his.

Um, I am a mutant dude.

There we go - fun is back with a vengeance. KA-POW! And yes... I did just say KA-POW... Sue me.

ha! as funny as this would be, I think it might not actually be too far off. In the first trailer, they cut to a shot of Peter looking rather uncomfortable after Gwen says that he lives with his aunt and uncle.

It could just be trailer editing. But I think it might've been a slip of the tongue by Gwen, after Ben has died. Which leads to a severely awkward dinner.
