So shops have finally received their Theatrical quality Spider-Man suits. I'm hoping someone posts a picture of the suit relatively soon. I'd like to get one for Halloween however, I'm hesitant because of the picture they put up to show off the costume.

Thanks JLA, that's the picture I'm talking about. I would like to see what the costume looks like in a real setting. Like a lot of people have said, it just looks glossy and weird in those photos.

You get 10,000 Doctor Who points for knowing what's important in this world and not being aware of what isn't.

Sweet, even though last nights Doctor Who ep was a bit sad :csad: Still was a good one. Can't wait for Christmas now!!!!

Keep On Thwipin'!!!

-sigh- the theatrical quality suit by Disguise Costumes does not look THAT bad besides we all know glamour shots of products on the internet never do the real product justice.

The pattern itself looks awesome.

It's just the material, it looks plasticy.

I'd like to see some other pictures of it.

to be fair the suit in the actual film looks plasticy too depending on the lighting.

I'm not saying it's bad, I'm very interested in buying the costume. However, like Troy said, the material just look shotty in the pictures. I know that the pictures usually don't do justice. Look at the regular disguise costume pics. They don't look that impressive.

However, when I was at Meijer the other day, I saw one of the costumes. I was thoroughly impressed with the attention to detail of the costume and the fabric was very nice.

I just hope someone buys the costume relatively soon and puts up pictures of their own.

and the theatrical quality suit doesn't look like that either

Seems like everyone apart from you thinks so.

Is Disguise paying you or something? You always seem to disagree with everyone.

EDIT: If they are, let me know. I want in.

No they aren't lol

and I guess I just know from experience the suit doesn't look as plasticy as you guys make it out to be and as a hard core fan and an artist i pay HEAVY attention to detail and i'm telling u the theatrical suit plasticy look is ALOT like the films

the difference is the suit u can buy is a high end quality halloween suit and the film suit is a hollywood movie suit.

Also I've found pics of a guy who has it but i refuse to post them for these reasons:

1: he had to get it tailored to fit him and it still doesn't fit right on him, he needs to take it back to the tailor

2: he needs to cut his hair cause it made the mask look hokey.

3: the lighting in the pics sucks and i know it doesn't do the suit justice.

I can tell from my experience taking pics of my rental quality comic suit depending on the lighting and what not the picture can make the suit look worse than how it actually is.

Oh, I'm not doubting that the suit might look better in-person. The pattern is fine, it looks great. It's just the material that looks off. And the movie doesn't look the sort of plasticy this suit does. This suit looks almost like it's PVC, thus... the plastic shopping bag joke.

I'd like to see more pictures of it though.

if i can find the pics again i'll post them but like i said it doesn't look THAT good on this guy.

I plan on getting the suit myself once I get the money. res assured when i git it tailored/fitted for me it'll look waaaay better, plus i'll take a WEB-ton of GOOD pics

Post the pictures regardless. I just want to make sure it doesn't have that shine/glossy look. I'm definitely thinking of picking it up for Halloween. I too also think the problem is the model disguise chose for the suit.

i don't see why the shine and gloss is such an issue since the real movie suit has it.

how do you guys not see that?
