Well the movie's budget is only $80 million. And the original Spider-man movie was $139 million.
And there's a guy on youtube who i talk to who gets inside information into movies such as Spider-man. You can look at his vids, but here's one that states the pro's and the con's of the amazing spider-man

considering that spidey was sony's #1 money maker, and that this spiderman already has to deal with an audience not sure why they should give a crap..

seems like a bad move to not throw money at it.
even marvel with it's low balling ways wouldn't spend that little on a film.

I am pretty sure the budget around 100 to 110.

Well I don't think we will get no action. Of course there will be some awesome battles between the lizard and Spider-Man. Just maybe not alot of CGI? Apparently they're gonna have some really cool parkour-like fight scenes!

Yeah, but there's only so much you can do practical. Imagine if that 1990 Spider-Man film came ot fruition.

One of the MANY beauties of the last franchise was the web-swinging sequeances. The train scene in S-M2 still reamins THE greatest superhero fight scene ever in a comic book movies.

You know maybe I missed some news on here, but besides Nikki saying the 80 mil budget I have not heard a thing about it. Which still leads me to believe its not true. No way would Sony take their biggest franchise and give it a second rate treatment. I think maybe at a time they thought this, but I kinda doubt it. But unless there was a further confirmation (not some rumor) other then Nikki's I really think Sony probably has dumped more onto it.

I'm pretty sure they put more money into this. They cut the Ghost Rider sequel's budget and put it into this. You can't make a Spider-Man film for $80 mil anyway.
