game looks like it will be loads of fun, especially with it being an open world game like Spiderman 2 & 3

however, judging by the trailer the graphics look pretty crappy. almost PS2 like graphics. hopefully that is not the final version of the game.

I think you're getting confused with the Spiderman 3 game

Free roam, movie game, nothing confusing

I don't think it's the final version, but it seems as if graphics here are notably better than Mirror's Edge, that one has nice graphics
Compare it to X-Men Destiny, that one has PS2 graphics, this one definitely looks more advanced

How much longer do we have to wait for the trailer?

Man, I'm not on the mood to fight robots.
I hope this doesn't mean the lack of other villains. The trailer makes it seemd like robots are the bigger threat of the game.

My hype has died.

I finally borrowed Edge of Time. Not too bad, but still a bit dull.

I watched this boring-ass, dull trailer.

I craved for more EoT after it.

No joke.

Seriously, do they think robots in a Spidey game are interesting threats?
Does anyone else here thinks so?

I'm getting pissed over this. I really wanted to get excited for this game.

Final Boss for this game has been leaked:

Giant Symbiote Spider-Slayer Shocker and Rhino duo from another dimension

Why is it that everything I see related to this movie (the tagline ruined the awesome poster for me) makes me less excited for it. I already gave up on the movie but I had really high hopes for this game and was more excited for it than the movie. But giant robots? Isn't that a little Superman Returns-ish? I'm hoping the next trailer makes it look as good as the teaser did. I've been looking for the next best Spiderman gave since my Spiderman 2 broke. I've even looked for more copies of that game.

I have SM2 sitting in our pile of PS2 games. I haven't played it in forever though.

Ugh totally disappointed by the trailer i want to see actual gameplay not some shaky footage from a news reporter!!

It really kind of gets to me that Activision are allowed to continue butchering this franchise. The publisher should be flat out ashamed of how shoddy the trailer looked not just creatively but presentation-wise too.

Look at what Batman's done and how much success it's had because of that. Quality licensed games will always sell better but the publisher seems just fine with lazy, insulting adaptions that make a quick buck. It's like they're too impatient to wait for their pocket money or something.

Not acceptable at the end of the day.

I really hope that f***ing robots aren't the main villains of the game. This is Spider-Man! Not Iron Man or Transformers!

The trailer reminded me a bit of one of the big action sequences from The Incredibles, in concept.

I didn't mind how the trailer was shown, kind of dug the news person perspective. It's the content of it that was worrisome. I don't mind battling one giant robot, especially if it's a spider-slayer. I just don't want that to be a substitute for using Spider-man's rogues gallery.

If that was simply one level in the game, than they really messed up. If they wanted to get people jacked for this, brief glimpses (even if they were just models) of some of Spidey's more known villains would've gone a long way.

To be fair the bar-raising Batman games are a recent occurrence, and were plagued by the same terrible products all licenses are experiencing. So I suspect it will be a little while before everyone else "catches on" to the winning formula.

Though it has been over 2 years. The accolades are hard to ignore, so you'd think developers would at least try and mimic the gameplay. But so far no dice.

Isn't there some sort of weird-ass corollary of Godwin's Law that says that robots are the last gasp of creativity? It's when the writers give up on a franchise (be it TV, movies, or video games), throw in the towel and say, "**** it....robots."

It was fun while it lasted, Video Game Spidey.....you will be missed. :*(

The robot factory kinda reminds me of the one in EoT, and Oscorp is just like Lexcorp "Robots for Peace"

I was moderate in hype, my hype died too

I still don't find EoT dull, I like it enough to play it again and again without complaining

At least you and me finally agree when it comes to a Spider-Man game, at least regarding this trailer

I was looking forward to this trailer, I'm pissed too

Like WoS had some giant battle suits at one part around as much as there is in SM2? Maybe, but I won't find it too harsh to say "Dream On" at the moment, I will dream and enjoy my dream

True

Yea the robots have absolutely crushed any interest i had in this game. Granted that was one tiny trailer but still, this game now has the odds COMPLETELY stacked against it. Developer who has proven to be mediocre? Check. Publisher who cares nothing about the license they hold? Check. Movie tie in? Check. Now add giant robots to that list and i really dont see how this game can be anything other than a disappointment. Time will tell.
