I don't know, comic convention happen in Australia? There won't be any in the mini island I live in

I read that too, what is this Beta?

Beta is essentially a test version of the game much like a demo but no where near the final build of the game.

IGN, Gamespot, OXM, OPM, etc etc etc.

Gotcha. I hope their aim for doing this is to get professional feedback so they can make the game better. I'm sure this is the main point when 'delivering' a Beta but I hope that's what they are after. If so, I am glad to see Beenox taking that route to make sure the game meets quality standards.

Well, I wouldn't say 'nowhere' near the final build. Release is only a few months away. I'm surprised they've only got the beta now since they were supposedly working on this game over a year ago.

Maybe they had to wait until after the official announcement for the game?? I suppose sales for EoT would have been horrible had people knew about TAS game :oldrazz:

Yea its most likely a preview build of the game and they'll take feedback from the various outlets and tweak a few things, however, its getting to the point where they won't be able to change much. I mean the game will be complete in the next month or so then will go off to QA testing, then off to be printed. Its about a 3 month process from the time the dev's stop working on it, to the time it arrives in your hands. If we hear a lot of negative feedback from upcoming previews, that'll give you a sense of where this game is headed.

I think sales were gonna be poor with that one regardless. That game launched to pretty bad reviews and more and more people are passing on low rated titles.

I am nervous about the outcome for this game. I want so badly for this game to rock.

Yeah and can you imagine the sales if people knew about a free roaming title coming the next summer?? LOL. It would have been a rental only for sure (and Yes I know that you already think this :woot:)

We all do. Especially with how bad ass that new trailer for the film was.

The odds are against this game though. Spidey hasn't done well in the medium as of late and this is a game based off a movie. Tough things to overcome. Hopefully they knock it out of the park the way Starbreeze did with their Riddick game.

If they are able to nail the combat and the swing mechanics...IMO that's the toughest thing they need to get right. Beenox is very capable of dealing quality presentation, VA, score, and the story, so I'm not worried about this part so much.

To be honest, I'd just love some cracking side missions and depth of world.

Also, perhaps some collectibles that are actually fun to collect. I like completing my open world games and some of those Spidey games got ridiculous with their collectibles (WoS I'm looking at you)

@UltimateWebhead,

I was really hoping you'd get the South Park reference, instead I've offended you. Awkward.

I'm not offended. I knew by the ":p" that you were joking with me...sorry I didn't get the reference, I haven't watched SP in quite awhile.
