speaking of Ben, it could be great if they introduced Miles Warren and the clone stuff in one of the movies.

HELL NO
No clones, no symbiotes
None of that crap please

Yea I'm with u man. That stuff needs to stay in the books. Really don't need to see that in film.

IMO the clone saga was a bit much for me, story was kinda "out there", the one positive thing I can say about it was the Ben Reilly suit was one of the best suits that I've seen. I don't think the saga would do well as a film. Certain sagas and elements are better off remaining in the comics and not on film, for example X-Men, the whole Shi'ar Empire, Gladiator, space travel etc, not really the kinda stuff that would fit too well on film, and you gotta look at the audience as well. With both Spider-Man and X-Men, they've already got the world around them set as the events in their respective films take place in the "real world", throwing in elements like clones, space travel and all that stuff would throw the audience off and make the films seem more sci-fi than what they are supposed to be, at least that's my way of thinking

As I said in the other thread, another previewer calling it a potential GOTY contender is truly promising to say the least! Just a few months ago, I never thought I'd read those words about a Spider-Man movie tie in game under Activision.

Had potential, true, but it's not movie material
It should be kept away, period, the drama to follow the cloning is even worse

I don't see cloning really far from realism, it happened, sure not to human, but it happened, and it's more realistic than mutation

Aliens on the other hand should be kept as far as possible if they aim for realism

The clone saga had some cool moments but definitely not movie material. Could be cool for a game though, as long as it's not only an excuse for co-op.

What's the point of a co-op game with two versions of one character?
That could be fun, but not really good

Im liking what I'm hearing as well, but the day a movie tie in is Game Of The Year, is the day I toss all my video games out the window. TASM will NOT be goty.

The clone saga is a mess, but it doesn't mean they can't make a good story out of the idea. Ultimate's clone saga was one of the best.

I agree it is not movie material, though.

^Another fan of Ultimate Clone Saga

:lmao:
He pictured it in his head, cause the thought is cool

True! So there's not really much reason to show the Clone Saga again.

Oh, I really don't think it will. But seeing people praise it so much is definitely a good sign for the quality of the game.

For someone with a collection as big as yours? In case you didn't sell most of your games
Show me your window, I want to sit under it with my trampoline and a few large chests

Yeah, I doubt it will make GoTY and all this preview talk about it being a contender is something I'm taking with a huge grain of salt. I like the fact that it's getting so much positive remarks about the demo but I hope that positivity stays intact once the game releases or prior to its release and people are writing their actual reviews of the game. I'm trying to not get reeled up in the hype but I'm still remaining hopeful about the quality of TASM.

Oh yea ill give you guys that. I can't recall a Spider-Man title with this much good press around it since Spider-Man for the PS1. I dont think SM2 had this amount of good press, that coverage was more focused on the fact that for the first time ever Spidey would be in a free roam environment. Here though, people seem to be really impressed with the game they are seeing, not just excited to see Spidey in a "new environment". I haven't really heard anyone raise too many concerns, granted they haven't played it yet, but still, everyone seems to be super impressed with what they are seeing. And honestly I'm super impressed with what I'm hearing.

Haha, i promise you, if this game takes the AIAS GotY award, i will ship you my entire collection. All 108 titles over PS3/360. What you do with em is up to you.

Lucky you, that will never happen
Architecture is your major?

Haha i stopped trading in titles completely a few years ago, just letting em pile up now. I think i might try and sell some to Amazon tho, cuz i really am running outta room

Yeah that is a ton, mostly cause they're all for just the PS3/360. I've heard of and seen large collections but usually for several systems. Me, I have about 35 games for the PS3/360.
