The Amazing Spider-Man: The Game - Part 3

It's a smart idea to use old school swinging style for enclosed spaces and small areas, helps ease up travelling and have fun with swinging instead of using the web zip every time

Yea definitely and based off the 3DS demo, the indoor swinging is PERFECT. NO spider-man game has ever made swinging indoors so smooth. I was swinging through hallways and rooms with as much ease as there possibly could be.

I want multiplayer in the next Spidey game, everyone is a thug, one person is Spidey, kill his ass

Are there 'outside' areas in the 3DS version? I am aware that there's no free roam but maybe some large closed off sections to swing about.

I called my local Gamestop and sadly, no midnight release for either ASM, Skyrim DLC nor Spec ops. :csad:

lol, i'm gonna take your advice hahahaha. But seriously, in my mind, this is the Spidey game I've always wanted. I haven't been this hyped for a Spidey game since Spider-Man 2. With all this talk of Xbox 720 and PS4, it kinda sucks we don't have a Spider-Man game that's well received for this generation, sure Shattered Dimensions was good, but the game had it's quite "obvious" limitations, free roam is the way to go with Spidey, jus sayin

They are doing the Atari move, wonder what will come after numbers
But yeah, we do need that well received Spidey game for this generation, and I do want a good Spidey game, thought this one apparently (and hopefully) will exceed good

Yea I agree with u man. I haven't been excited for a Spidey game since USM. I knew SM3 wouldn't be that good. I knew WoS would suck. Hated the idea of FoF. Wasn't crazy about the idea of SD(did enjoy it a bit tho) and thought EoT was just a waste of time. This game tho, I'm eagerly anticipating.

and thought EoT was just a waste of time.
Remember when Dee was talking about it and saying they wanted to make the best Spider-Man game? Though it was initially enjoyable imo
I think those two Beenox games are better as cartoons to watch than they are games to play, and as lame as the story of Juggernaut is in SD, it's one of two stages I like to play more than the rest, the other one is Deadpool's stage with the first movie wrestling announcement: "It's the deadly, the terrifying, THE AMAAAZIING SPIIDER-MAAAAAAAN"

Yup. Same boat my friend.

I feel the same. I just hope that the entire game turns out to be as good as the demo that we've seen. There's always the possibility that the game will not be good...at this point it looks fantastic, but there's always that damn window. I truly want this game to be the Spidey game, we as fans, deserve. I hope.

Hah yea i agree. If i ever throw that game in my console, its to play those 2 levels. I just hated how all the villains just happened to be there. NO thought was put in to adding them into the story.

I also did like some of the 2099 levels as I'm quite the fan of Miguel.

As long as your expectations are in check, the game will be a huge success for the individual Spidey fan. I think we are going to get a really solid game, probably the best Spidey game yet, but i still dont think people will be talking about this game the way they did the Arkham titles in terms of overall quality. Im not expecting this to raise the bar for super hero titles, but i am expecting a super fun title featuring one of my favorite characters of all time...and thats enough for me.

I agree, I don't expect the game to be anything groundbreaking, but it may set the new bar for Spider-Man games. Like I mentioned a while back, you can definitely see where Beenox has put alot of time and effort into the game.

Oh i deff think it'll set the bar for Spidey titles. Maybe people will still say SM2 had the better swinging mechanics, but going forward ASM will be the Spidey game all others are compared to.

Yeah, guys, my expectations are completely in line with yours. I am not expecting a ground-breaking title but rather a game that ends up being one of the great, if not the greatest, Spidey titles. It's like Dee said, this game is the next evolution in Spider-man games and should be the start of what hopes to be a string of quality Spidey video games. Honestly, more than anything, what I truly hope for outside of getting a very awesome Spidey game, is that Beenox finally gets some credit. In my eyes, if this game pans out to be what we hope for, Beenox deserves some street cred as a solid developer. Not a great one yet...but they should be allowed some room to breathe a bit. Beenox has climbed what seemed to be an impossible hill of barriers in making this game and they deserve aknowledgement for their accomplishments.
