i like the way they did it because then I don't feel like I have to rush there if I'm off doing something else, but if they had crimes popping up at random as well would have been cool but honestly those little crimes that would have popped up would have gotten very boring very quickly for me.

Today I finished the story mode and completed most of the side missions. I stand by my original rating of 8.5 out of 10. Awesome game.

One complaint I have is that there really isn't that much to do in the city. Collecting the comic book pages is gonna take some time for sure but there's only three different random crimes that you can take on...car chase, street crime/mugging/theft, and police deadlock. I'm not sure what Beenox has planned for future DLC but it'd be nice to add some more crimes and side missions to the game.

Man, yesterday I saw that the extra costumes take damage just like the default one. I figured it would only be the default suits that take damage, but nope, they all do. So freaking awesome. This is probably my FAVORITE aspect of the game so far. The extra costumes. They appear in cutscenes, they have their own little details, and they take visible damage. Kudos BEENOX.

What suits have you seen torn up? I've only seen Rami suit and belt/beltless tear up.

The only alternate suit I have used is the Kaine suit and that one does NOT take any damage.

Yea or at least have them turn organic once uv completed the story. Really odd choice to do it the way they did. Pretty much destroys any replayability once the game is complete

No the stupidest thing they did was make it so you had to do EVERYTHING in the game to get a suit and then have nothing to do with it afterwards since I don't believe suits transfer if you start a new game.

I've played as negative zone, FF, Kaine, And big time and never have seen the slightest hint of tearing.

Actually if you start a new game...you keep all your earned alt suits. You don't keep your combat/tech upgrades though.

I really can't wait to see where Beenox takes Spider-Man from here. I can only imagine a 616 open world Spidey game... Give them two more years and they could improve on this game to give us the perfect Spidey game. As it stands... I don't want anyone else doing Spidey games. I want Beenox to hone their craft even more.

Yea Beenox has deff earned their keeps as the Spidey dev. I want this format(with a few tweaks) from here on out.

I agree about Beenox everything they've done Spidey wise has been good, I think its obvious Edge of Time was more Activision's fault. I hope they continue to work at this and aim for their next game to be Amazing Spiderman 2. I don't want a filler game in between.

Yeah, Eff Activision. EoT had a great premise but with only a year of development time, there's only so much you can do. I think Beenox did a pretty good job with that game considering the time constraints and only a small portion of the studio was working on it.

Beenox has really showcased what they're able to do when given a full development cycle and it's still a licensed game too. I think that speaks highly of them...that they were able to create so much again within certain restrictions.

I'm really hoping though Beenox adds more stuff to do with future DLC. The random crimes are lacking and so are the side missions.

download any dlc (rhino or stan lee are the only two at the moment) and it will be unlocked.

To grab them early you do, but you're more than welcome to wait.Also try it without bumping your clock bc i took a picture of where the spider should be and got it.

So i guess the Big Time suit also doesnt show damage? Either that or i just didn't take as many hits as i thought i did.


I also find it amusing that they consider the Raimi black suit to be the "Classic Black Suit"

yeah true that. Just finished the game earlier, damn good game I must say, best Spidey game for current gen by far. I also managed to rescue all of the infected citizens and return all patients back to the mental hospital. Now time to tackle the big fish.....collecting those comic books. I went on a craze doing all the random crimes that involved beating up thugs, the combat was just so well done in this game. Reviewers can say what they want about this game, but it's leagues better than previous games, 8.5 out of 10 in my book.

Not sure why we can't just get a pure black suit. Didn't understand it in Raimi's world either...

They actually did make a true symbiote costume (there's pics floating around on the internet) but they had to keep applying water to it to give it the slick, oozing look and they decided it'd be easier to just make the regular suit black.

Actually, that's not true. At least on the PSN where I am (UK). Along with the Stan Lee and Rhino challenge DLC, there's the Oscorp Search & Destroy (which I think was a pre-order bonus somewhere) and the Vigilante suit.

Though I don't know if the Raimi suit is unlocked with any DLC or just the Stan and Rhino DLC.
