The Art of Mee: Part II

My first venture into photoshop. Combined the foreground of a photo of mine with the sky of another, then edited/filtered, pretty happy with the result...

and a quick Cap sketch-

Another sketch, from being bored in government class...

I like your Cap and Superman drawings, especially the Cap one, but if you don't mind one wee bit of constructive critisism...it's a problem i have too when drawing...you gotta work on drawing hands, they are actually one of the hardest parts of the anatomy to draw. I am always v happy if i manage to draw a decent hand, lol.
Watch the proportions on the two parts of the fingers, on Cap's right hand(his right hand side), you have done the 1st half of the middle finger far too large, it's the 2nd part that is longer on your finger if you look at it.
and inversely, on Supes' left hand(his left hand), you've done the 2nd half of his middle finger longer, but it is too long.
I hope I do not sound like an ass pointing this out, it's just that you can make these little mistakes without realising them.
But yeah, practice the hands, whether drawing your own, or copying other drawings.

edit: just looked at your first page, gotta say I loved the Batman show and tell, lol. That's a nice cartoon style you have developed there for the super-babies.

I don't mind a good critique at all, no worries.

I know hands are one of my weak spots, I feel the same way that when I finally draw a good one it's like "whoa  " haha.

Thanks for the comments.

I like how you chose to show the dividing line down the middle of the abs, works well with the symbol.

Some photos I took on a trip to NYC...

(spoilered cause they're kinda big)

otherewise ...!

Wow. That was harsh.

But enough of that, there's some really good stuff in here. I really like the inks on the Batman piece where he's standing on the rooftop, as well as the more cartoony ones on the first page. If you don't mind me asking, do you use actual inks in your work or do you use something else?

It's all traditional. India ink with brush, felt tip pens and brush pen. Little bit of contrast/brightness adjusting here and there, admittedly.

Yeah, your stuff is really good. Some of the bits in the hand studies piece look really realistic.

I really love your artwork! It's so great! I live this piece, you can really feel the impact of Spidey crashing into The Green Goblin.

Great work!
