I'll answer you with this. I have no problem believing that there is some higher power or God. What I don't believe, is that He/It cares about anything that goes on. If he did, things should be a lot different.

We have God given rules to live by

@BoredGuy: God gave his messengers a way to give people to live by, people who know need to spread the word to people who don't. Find people who know, and take it from them

I was just being a bit of a *****e, lol, sorry, didn't mean to offend

but in the words of one of my favorite modern philosophers:
"Ratiocination is a practicable way to derive
an attitude of altitude and probity by which to abide"

In other words, logic combined with empathy are perfectly suitable for anybody to know how to be a good person, I don't need a magic story book to teach me how to live rightly

that said, I would never begrudge anyone their beliefs, no matter how vehemently I disagree with larger religious movements

I don't hold any grudge either on any believer of any religion that promotes peace and love. But I have come to believe that orthodox religions tend to produce overzealous fanatics, and this parts away from the idea of peace, love, union and understanding to embrace an idea of violence, wrath and chaos.

Just remember science is a string of theories. They could all be proved wrong in the next 100 years. That said, I ultimately believe there is no creator, and I think evaluation is the most likely theory (but I'm never going to say for sure).

Can you explain to me what the theory of evaluation is? Provide proof and evidence that it's inaccurate and incorrect!

I like the scientific approach because has a learning curve, a different set of hyphotesis that conveys with a specific train of thought or paradigmas. The only absolute truth is that there is no absolute.

Meanwhile, every religion feels very imposing, and usually derives in a zealous mentality, rigidness and static thought, this not being in harmony with the process of progress.

I was referring to people who put all their faith and effort into God and are left to starve, or be crushed under the destruction of a tornado, or be murdered by a crazed gunman. Those are the forsaken.

None is forsaken, all of us will eventually die and pass to the afterlife
Then there will be no tornadoes, no guns, no famine

You have your free will, how will you use it here defines how someone will be rewarded later, or punished
