whose contract is up at the end of Infinity War? whose death would be the biggest shock?

I'm pretty sure the movie will end on a cliffhanger. And simply killing off Hawkeye won't have folks clawing their eyes out waiting for May 2019

Just the big 3's contracts are up (Evans, Downey, Hemsworth). Most people agree on at least one between Evans & Downey dying, while Hemsworth should renew his contract.

And yeah, hopefully they don't get cheap and make Hawkeye "the big death", unless it's one among many.

Since we have a new thread.

Are the Accords fully in effect?
Stark acted on his own in Spider-Man with the whole ferry thing. I thought the Accords was meant to keep the heroes in check and not let them freely save the day. I know the Accords will come in play in this with an invasion happening and Cap.

I say keep Evans around for one more movie to let him lead in a new generation of Avengers.

That is if he wants too, Evans has earned a break and so has RDJ and all the originals.

Hemsworth is the only one I can see doing at least two movie movies as a solo lead. He is young enough and Thor is his big role. RDJ maybe cameos like he did in HC but only when needed, the same for Cap. Black Widow will probably fade away, I know few still want that BW solo...I just don't see it. Fury has already faded and only pops up when needed, I think he will continue to do that. We know he is in Captain Marvel.

I think the accords were exactly why Stark didn't go after the Vulture himself ("there are people who handle that sort of thing" "the Avengers?" "a little below our pay grade") so that's why he called the FBI instead. But in that moment there was no choice but for Stark to act or else people would have died. We still don't know if he had to account for that off screen. And Spidey isn't affected by them because he's not an Avenger

The Accords are more about actions on foreign soil. It would be stupid to ask a permission from UN every time you urgently need to save a group of people in NY.
Also, Tony called FBI.

People who learned nothing from Civil War apparently.

I think the Accords don't really apply to street level stuff. Only national/global crises. Otherwise Spider-Man would be hounded by government agents on every street corner.

Yeah the Accords are probably mainly for missions in other countries. That was why some on Cap's side worried about being used for war and being taken away from another mission that is more needed.

I'm still skeptical on there being a traditional cliffhanger for this if we have two movies in-between the next one.

I think War Machine or Nick Fury will be the next Avengers to show up in the HC sequel.

If you mean mid/post-credit scenes...no need going into A4. A traditional cliffhanger at the traditional end of IWs...yes I can see that...like at the end of Raimi's Spider-Man, when Harry discovered his father's lair.

Not to mention the Defenders, though not like the events of Civil War or the Accords in general actually impact them, not just because of the TV/film divide, but because they're so sectioned off in a pocket of New York.

WHen comicon will begin with marvel? in how many hours?

I would have enjoyed it if they were there just for 2 minutes or so. Interesting though to see WM again, though if he doesn't mention his injury...

Btw just curious your thoughts...

what's the hierarchy or the order of battle for the Avengers? Cap leads them but is BW his 2nd in command? I just wonder if we might have seen more of this in Age of Ultron or CW. Maybe a line of dialogue discussing it since we have a few with superpowers and others who are fully capable sans powers. Yet all are equal within the team.

I bet it will be the same one from d23 but they might show a few clips from the movie

Aw really? Was really looking forward to a teaser, we're only 10 months out!

"Only" ten months out? More like "still"

Marvel doesn't release trailers a year in advance like DC does

100% chance the same trailer (or even an extended version) from D23 will be shown for the Hall H attendees later today at SDCC.

5% chance that it gets released to the public immediately thereafter - that's completely understandable as they want to focus the marketing purely on Thor Ragnarok and Black Panther.

It's still way too early for the general movie-going audience to be exposed to IW footage. I'm more than happy to be proved wrong though as I would LOVE to see that trailer like right now as the descriptions sound insane.
