I haven't noticed a thread about work rants sooo...

My day started off crappy when I found out my best friend got a new job. Good for him because he's moving on to bigger and better things but tolerability in my office is going to severely decline when he leaves :cmad:

After working on the billions of taskings my boss delegated to me I decided to take a break and reply to an email my other friend sent out to our entire work section (including managers and execs) for yet ANOTHER tasking. My reply to her tasking was simple yet to the point...

"funk dat"

So I hit send and started to get back to work. I immediately get an "out of office reply" and said to myself, "WTH? I know she's at work". So the reply came from someone I don't even know because it turns out I hit "Reply to all recipients" instead of just replying to her...AAAGGGGGGGGGCCCKKKK! :cmad::cmad::cmad:

Sooo the rest of the day is spent with me getting taunted by everyone passing my cubicle shouting, "FUNK DAT!" "FUNK YOU MAYN!" and a verbal counseling from my boss about email etiquette.

I know its boring...I the living example of Office Space.

I know Lunar_Wolf started a thread too but it got closed...here's his rant because us disgruntled employees gotta stick together!

Alright I'm working in the cinema and I've had many rants about it. But here is an exciting new rant to my workings in the cinema.

Some employee's money was stolen. What does management do? Put up a warning sign for every to have locks on their lockers? No that'd be to sensible. They take away our free passes, 90cent cokes and our advance showing of movies. Well ****ing done you **** hating ****ty cock suckers.

Not only that but 100 waters went missing last month. No one is allowed in the store room. Wow wheres the ****ing trust? Now all these new employee's have started in the past few weeks. We had no problems with these kind of things...DING DING DINH OH MY GOD!!! Maybe it was one of the new people....No because logic doesn't matter where I work.

Not just that but I've been working 7 months....They have yet to train me into the box offices. Why? I dunno? My tills in the shop is always spot on. I'm good with the customers, so whats the ****ing deal?

**** you omniplex!!!

Don't even get me started. I hate my job. The jewelry business isn't exactly booming in ****ing April so I get to waste time with ****ing spoiled brats while they play pretend with jewelry they want the boyfriends they don't have to buy them. And I have to put up with my dick manager who is the dorkiest and most arrogant little prick I've ever met. :cmad:

Me too. Luckily I have the rest of the week off. At least I did get to yell at my manager Monday. It was wonderful.

My manager is a complete flake. I don't think there is anyone left in the store that actually respects him anymore, well maybe the owner. For 6-8 months the manager would not show up on time, he'd show up hours late or not at all. WTH?
He got yelled at a few times and he's a little better now, but he stil can't manage to show up on time. And the days the owner isn't there he shows up hours late still. But the owner just won't fire him even though that's what needs to happen.

I can't comprehend that at all and it's frustrating as hell.

My boss is a retired Army Sergeant Major and every time I disagree with him about some crap job he hands down to me (that he could EASILY do himself if he had 1/4 of a brain) he spouts some weirded out Army lingo like, "Just go out and draw fire on this one for me!" or

"Your database is hosed"

"Your database is hammered *****"

"Quit acting all broke d**k and get some work done"

"What are you slack asses up to now?"

There's many more but I can't remember them all right now. So I just walk away thinking to myself, "did he just call me broke d**k?"

lol. Mine is a young guy doing his first manager gig and has no idea what he's doing. He's dorky and can't dress and he's arrogant and cocky. I still can't figure out why. Most people think he's a joke. He's also afraid of me and easy to manipulate.

Ever make him cry? I'd call that a good day. :woot:

Hours late?? How ******ed is your owner that he can't figure out that there just might...maybe...possibly...a better manager that he could hire??

Yes, hours. He would at times(today for instance) not show up till 3-4pm(store hours are 11am-8pm).

Best I can figure why he won't fire him; he's afraid of losing someone that experienced. However, that doesn't make sense to me since experience is worthless if he doesn't show up to use it.

My "Bad Day At Work" thread was called Frickin' Frackin' Nonsense... because that's what I have to deal with.

I work for a Canadian company that was bought out by an American company. The American head office wants to move all the data to a computer system that they say is "better" but that I am unfamiliar with. My current job (whether I want it or not) is to document everything on our existing system, sorted by whether or not it's a client requirement, client file processing or internal requirement. I also need to provide examples of the different reports / files generated by all the different processes... Fine, dandy, I get to write myself OUT of work, and I've been doing it too, to the best of my ability. What drives me really crazy is when they DON'T READ THE DOCUMENTATION. I've lost count of the number of times the programmers in the states have asked me to tell them something that was in the FIRST 10 LINES of my documentation.

everyday i wake up the day is slightly worse then the day before, so everyday that you see me, its on the worst day of my life.

wow, sounds like one of the many extra tasks my boss hands over to me. I need to track the people who document system security requirements to make sure they turn in their documentation in time for the system to be approved at our facility...so its another extra tasking for me that I don't get paid extra to do.

Damn,I'll be in here every day.

I bent pipe all day by myself, never asked for help. I was so proud because it's been one of my weakness'. So I confessed when I got stuck that I don't get to do it much and needed help. So now they proceed to explain everything like I'm wearing a ****ing helmet. :cmad:
But when I'm operating heavy machinery and power tools that can cut my fingers off I get absolutely no instructions.
It's a damn set up. :csad: :cmad:

Oh my god, I know what you mean. I basically had to ****ing train myself and every ****ing week I take in inventory and **** and one ****ing time I asked for help because merchandise wasn't tagged properly, the little piece of **** tries to give me a ****ing tutorial. Wtf? :cmad:

8 years in the trade and every job is the same. :csad: :down

My manager is like that.

He'll tell us all to arrive early, and we do, and he isn't even there! So we can't even get in ***king joint.

That ended recently when he gave a few of the girls some keys.

I remember him and I had a conflict recently when I kicked a customer.

You kicked a customer?? You HAVE to tell that story...let's hear it!

geeze i hate my job

lots of stupid customers

we have signs all over the store

everything with a star on it and all non new releases are 3 for $9.99

yet i still get all these people bringing up 3 movies from the wall.....none of them have stars and i ring it up and i say "13.95" and they freak out "WHAT! ITS SUPPOSED TO BE 9.99"

so i point to the many signs and they are like "oh"

i got a bunch

there';s a thread on facebook about dumb customers

Speaking of stupid customers.
Here's a phone call I took the other day:

Me: *answers phone, says name of the store*
Girl: Can I speak to Steph.
Me: No one by that name works here.
Girl: Oh, well can you give me her number.
Me: *wtf?* No one by that name works here.
Girl: Is this the Express at *nearby mall*
Me: No, this is *says name of store, for the second time*
Girl: Oh *hangs up*

One of my superiors called me a racist after I sent out an e-mail for a movie night I was having showing "The Prestige". I cited the amazing twist at the end as being the best I'd seen and wrote in parantheses afterward "eat dirt M. Knight Shyamalan!". She responded in an e-mail with "I don't know how your humor works, but to slam the indian director is a big assumption on your part that all of us work that way."

I was like... "Buh?" and immediately e-mailed her back and told her I was disappointed she knew me so little to think that I was actually capable of being racist. I also explained to her the whole reasoning behind the statement which she wasn't interested in hearing.

This woman is the classic hyper-sensitive minority who thinks that everyone is out to get her. Grrrr. :cmad:

When I used to work at a summercamp I slept on the job all the time and didn't get fired once.:D Sucks for you guys.
