These guys are BY FAR the best options for the Flash

I used to support connecting Arrow and MOS, but Amell and Gustin are not up to par. I wasn't the biggest fan of Gustin's performance last night. It was serviceable, but I wasn't impressed at all. He's not the "perfect" Barry Allen that people are making him out to be.

I think people are just so excited about the idea of seeing Barry Allen in live action that they're willing to trick themselves into thinking that Gustin was excellent, when he really wasn't.

Honestly, that dude was mediocre by Arrow's standards. His role had so much hype, but his performance imo was one of the weaker ones of the season. Poor dude, there was so much hype to live up to.

Gustin would be hindering Flash's potential if he was the big screen Flash too. We need movie quality actors to be considered.

Gosling and Aaron Paul are definitely my top choices.

Gosling is a bit unrealistic, but I can see this role going to Aaron Paul. He's still not a massive movie star, and would still be kinda cheap, but his acting is Oscar quality. We'd be in for something truly special if either Paul or Gosling were cast as Barry.

Like some have already noted, I think Gosling is too "big" (or should I say inflated) for a role like this. He seems to choose more artsy and "cool" roles. I think he thinks a superhero role wouldn't further his craft...but that's pure conjecture on my behalf.

How about this dude... he is a British actor and played the lead role in Stevel Spielberg's Best Picture nominated War Horse.

Slumcat and Samuel Jackson, I'm sorry but I can't see either of those working out at all. Pettyfer is a **** actor, and Slumcat- that guy just has a punchable face. Heeeeeeeeell no.

Dunno where you are getting that at all. Have you seen him act?

He played a soldier in the Spielberg film and a very noble and courageous fella.

The people who used to join in on the discussions in the JLA boards, during 2012-2013, etc know that i was a hardcore supporter of Ryan Gosling for Flash and Idris Elba for Green Lantern.

I love Aaron Paul, and that would be awesome, but Gosling is the ultimate Barry Allen who is in his 30s as a character. But i doubt he'll do it.

Having Elba on board would get the fans going nuts. The ones of The Wire, the Marvel fans would check it out and be jealous, the Pacific Rim fans, and even people in general who will fall in love with his acting through "Mandela". Which will probably get an oscar nomination.

But Gosling? That's star power that could rival Affleck on screen and give a BUNCH of credibility to the Flash that the general audience would need to see.

The other thing is, Aaron Paul is massive right now so that would attract a great amount of people.

I think they want a slim dude, otherwise they would have cast someone else.

CW always cast ripped muscular guys as their show leads. And there are plenty of them around if CW wanted them. Why would they pick a puny guy? I think they for a change wanted a puny guy this time.
