The shot of adrenaline stuff sounds crazy. I love and am relieved to hear that the no kill rule will be emphasized.

Kinda figured that scene in the shot with him beating the guy while he's down might be that "he almost kills someone" bit a scooper mentioned a while back. Pretty cool that Selina witnesses it, could be they're both sort of reigning themselves in going forward for sequels.

If only that poor guy knew, all ya gotta do is say "Martha".

Lol at ppl thinking Matt cast an actress in 2019, when this "Joker could be played by a lady" is just a sudden pandemic era suggestion that's only kinda catching on now.

I will say this. Even though I don't care for the idea, I can see it happening in the future. Maybe in the next reboot. Elizabeth Moss would be my choice right now with a gun to my head because I don't like the other fancasts. Colette or Swinton could pull off a Dark Knight Returns I admit. But there are better male actors available right now that could do wonders with the role. Not to mention how nauseating it's going to be to hear the WOKE insults towards this film. No thanks. The day it happens, my temperament won't be able to handle anything social media lol. I'll have to disappear. I can put up with the Black Superman hatred cuz I can just block those people (I don't care about superman). But I can't block Batman/Joker related stuff.

Even if you were to do a female Joker, Audrey Plaza is about the worst fancast you could go for it. Even when she plays psychotic there's still a certain element of sexiness to her. Her voice also doesn't suit the role.

Harvey Dent is supposedly not in this movie but we know there's a open DA spot now. So i’m of the belief that Matt Reeves will introduce Harvey Dent in the sequel, but without repeating the same beats that Nolan made. I doubt he would give the guy zero development and suddenly disfigure him. And I also doubt he becomes Two-Face halfway through the story again.

The smart thing to do is use Harvey in 3-5 scenes (like Colin) and throw acid in his face at the very end of the movie.

This is why I'm crossing Two-Face off my list as a candidate for main villain (or even supporting villain) until the third film. Which is exciting because now it's open season.

Victor and Hugo seem to be at the top of everyone’s list.

Yeah, I'd be all over the idea of Matty McConaughaughaninnynaynay as Dent. Halfway between Tommy Lee and Aaron with the approach, grounded like Eckhart but this ruthless extroverted hellraiser like Jones. And of course show plenty of the other side, the guy able to have a cogent & reasoned conversation with Bruce when his mind happens to be in normal-guy mode.

Sorta liking the idea of an older actor for it too, if it's the "he's already scarred and his mind's snapped" approach, too. He used to be the whole White Knight thing and was maybe a family friend, he knew Mom & Dad Wayne well, and Bruce since he was a kid.

While having no idea Bruce is Batman, interacting with them both separately. And he & Penguin really butting heads bigtime.

I'd say there is now 0 percent chance McConaughey gets the role. Harv isn't in this movie, which means the role has not been cast. Matt is not going to cast based on a internet rumour. It's dead in the water. Just like those bogus Toronto sightings.

I don't know if they'll make him friendly with Bruce or not, in order to change it up from the Eckhart/Bale relationship "ughhh tell me it's not Wayne...that guy is a...". But I do know that going younger is the right way to go when you have a 45-50 year old Gil Colson in the prior corrupt spot. Having big bad Harv as Bruce's age, clean look, dark hair, handsome. I'll always fly the Christopher Abbott flag. Then he gets obliterated and fracture his psyche. Abbott knows all about playing different personas. He's my guy.

Sure, I wouldn't rule out a cameo, even if he's played by a well-known actor. It's not outside the realm of possibility especially considering how many surprise cameos we've seen in the superhero genre over the years.

This is unlikely, but I do want to say that if there were a giant villain reveal (either Two-Face, Freeze or Joker) it's possible that it is an end credits Arkham scene and was not shown in test screenings to protect from spoilers. Pretty sure Marvel's done that in the past. I'm starting to think that the rumoured reaction of people screaming is more so just something super intense that Riddler does that's part of the plot, not a reveal.

And yeah, it would be nice to not discuss test screening stuff moving forward. I really don't want to get something big spoiled.

I noticed Shauner mentioned Abrams’ Superman above. Considering Reeves and Abrams’ long friendship, what is the likelihood of Abrams’ Superman and Reeves’ The Batman crossing over? I think if Pattinson’s Batman crosses over with anyone it would be that. It’s pretty interesting that Reeves threw in some Superman Easter eggs in The Batman.

I would ****ing love a proper World’s Finest movie. But not without proper build up first. This Batman is still early in his career. Maybe it could look like this:

Just for the record @ the mods, I would definitely be in favour of a strict no-rumour/test screening rule moving forward. I'm sure I'm not alone in not wanting to have to go dark and leave the Hype for a few months until the movie. If possible it would be nice to make the main thread restricted to speculation off of official stuff (ie. interviews, press, trailers, photoshoots, etc). Until now it was always hard to tell what leaks were fake. Moving forward there will definitely be real spoilers and I'm worried they'll get out to here.
