I wonder if Firefly could work in the Reeves universe. Would a guy with a jetpack and flamethrower be a little much? What about Freeze?

I desperately want Ivy too but I don't know

Firefly was rumored in this film and if the Hatter thing is true that probably is too, whether he has the jetpack is yet to be seen. Freeze is probably easier than Ivy but IMO (which is admittedly in the minority I think) I dont see a reason why they both couldn't show up

I'm a sucker for that "hi-res" cinematography, and I LOVE the way this movie looks. Some handheld camera action would be interesting, but I'm sure I'll love it regardless.

A private concern of mind is that we only get Joker and Court Of Owls in the future films. I'd be disappointed but I wouldnt be upset if that makes sense. Hopefully some surprises pop up, with Colson dying I cant imagine Dent doesnt show up at some point.

Grounded just means the base is reality. There's a lot you can do with grounded.

Matt Reeves repeated the word "grounded" like 10 times on the DC Fandome panel.
I have you blocked because you take everything at face value exactly and then ignore the obvious. Grounded can mean more than "can only exist in this world" Superman is a thing in this universe, I'm not saying that newspaper is gonna be a major plot point but to me, with my eyes it appears that Superman exist, that automatically negates however you interpreted it. Its grounded in the sense that the characters have real goals and real personalities. Riddler isn't there to prove he's smarter than Batman by reciting internet Riddles, he's there to expose corruption. If I end up being wrong then I'm wrong but dont reply to me like I dont understand basic vocabulary or I cant comprehend what Reeves has said.

You literally said "this isn't a grounded universe" when Reeves clearly stated the opposite.

Hell, it's not even just Reeves that said "grounded" though, Hamada also mentioned this world was very grounded when he was talking about the difference between all the different DC Universes he specifically singled this one out as the grounded and realistic one. And yes, those worlds were grounded to an extent but Reeves really seems to have made a point of it when he said it and everything we've seen so far from the suit to the car to the cave points in that direction. The batcave isn't even a cave here.

In all fairness, Man of Steel was described as a super grounded and realistic take on the character and then 4 years later he was fighting a giant alien that looked like he was made of tofu and in that same world the embodiment of athletes foot did a belly dance in front of will smith and hot topic harley so... things change fast lol.

Grounded just means it feels real. It has motivation, emotions you can understand. It doesn't mean fantastical stuff can't happen.

Not Grounded: using Riddles to test the city and if they fail you let off an atomic bomb.

Grounded: using Riddles to test Batman to see if they can get behind the corruption in the city

So you mean like Two-Face with actual Split Personality Disorder, permawhite Joker as a performance artist with signs of sadistic personality disorder and clinical sociopathy, etc.

That kind of stuff, or am I misinterpreting it?
