The BATSUIT Thread

Yeesh, what can I say here that hasn't been mentioned already? Cowl looks like Netflix Daredevil, and the emblem just looks bad.

I liked the music in the reveal more than the reveal itself. Any chance we can get a Sonic level redo here?

I'd always expected it with Rob's jaw, but this goes so damn far back. You can literally see his sideburns!

Watch someone manip the classic mouth outline, and it would look a thousand times better.
I expect the sideburns won't be an issue in the actual film. This is just a test. Probably didn't trim up.

I really like the handmade aspect. If he's in year two, then I expect he hasn't quite started to face any major villain yet. At least hand-to-hand.

I always feel like when they redesign they batsuit they try too hard to over-design it.

As someone who hated the Batfleck suits, I'm loving what we're seeing here. Far more interesting and distinctive a take than just adapting the Frank Miller suit onto live action.

That said, of all the influence combinations they could have gone with, I am rather surprised by the decision to merge the Arkham Knight suit with the Adam West cowl. I'm digging the results so far though!

Also the Bat Symbol being made out a gun- possibly even Joe Chill's- is a metal as hell decision.

I'm kind of mixed on the symbol tbh. I feel like it's right on the line of cheesy/corny territory. I guess it depends how they relay that info in the movie.

As soon as the ears are exposed and they aren’t horns on his forehead all of the “it’s Daredevil” comments will be gone. Lol it’s a cowl in red lighting, so yeah it resembles Daredevil.

And can I dislike the last part of a comment? Jesus lol the entitlement is strong here

But it's so boring and takes all the fun/effort out of the actor's performance.

Why must rationality and realism always lay waste to the fantastical and badass when it comes to Batman on film?

It's like when those pics of Leto's stupid gangbanger Joker came out. You couldn't move for the amount of people trying to delude themselves and justify it by saying that the Joker probably would have grills/implants after being socked in the face by Batman for so many years. Yeah that might be a logical claim, but it still sure as hell sucked from an aesthetic pov.
A quick colorization pass...

Hard to judge without seeing the ears. Not sure about the stitching on the mask, but like others said, maybe it's part of the story and he gets it upgraded later in the film.

God damn this is going to be strange.

To put it plainly, albeit maybe vaguely, there is one very simple rule of thumb in my opinion that decides if a batsuit is a good batsuit.

A batsuit is a good batsuit if it makes him look like a creature of the night.

This suit has that in ****ing spades.
