The BATSUIT Thread

What book is this for?

The top one is a future Batman (not Bruce) and the bottom is Bruce as some sort of fugitive. I think they're going to be separate books as part of a new DC event called Future State.

On the comics side, we got a couple new Batsuit designs.

This is like my ideal batsuit, lol. I'd love to see this in live action (sans face mask).

And another tacticool/Zero Year look. Looks great.
Love them both.

That thigh design reminds me of the Arkham Origins suit. Probably the abdomen area too.

I've long thought that a streamlined version of this suit with normal human proportions would be stellar. The "Next Batman" suit is basically just that.

For those complaining about the wingsuit, it’s literally only Batman’s second year. He’s going to upgrade eventually. Relax.

This does, once again, remind me of the weird tension at play. From following the various The Batman threads, I pick up two recurring themes:

1. "Yay, a grounded, realistic Batman!"

2. "Boo, his costume and gear are grounded and realistic!"

I mean, I'm sure that some of this is different people, but some of it seems to be from the same people, who simultaneously wanted both a grim, realistic Batman story, but they want every single piece of accoutrement to be a direct copy-paste from the comics.

Does anyone remember a piece of concept art where Batman had a sort of scarf over his mouth? I can't find it anywhere.

I don't think it was for a film. Maybe a comic or it was just a piece of fan art.

The design is evocative of Soul Reaver.

I, for one, like a dark story as well as different variations of outfits and gear. That’s one of the best things about Batman for me.

There is no second suit
we'll probably know if there is one in the next month or so. doubt they can hide it while filming if there is one. right now, they seem to be filming in the first half of the film, so we'll have to wait a few weeks or so to know.

That artwork I'm looking for was a black and white sketch. I think it was a sketch of Batman and Bruce.

Really cannot remember what on Earth it was for. Just that Batman had a sort of scarf thing over his face that reminds me of this:

Sounds like you're describing JL mortal concept art. But its not actually a scarf.

Not that one. This one was a black and white sketch. Might have been pencil.

I don't think it was related to Mortal. I remember this piece floating around during the Nolan days so it's quite old.

You're probably thinking of one of the concept arts for the Batsuit in Darren Aronofsky's Batman: Year One. It was one of my personal favorites.

I'm starting to have doubts over the existence of a second suit.

I've been telling you this for awhile now!

That's the one.

Bless you, sir!

It's what I do! :D

Besides, like I said before, I always liked that design. It really sells the idea of the "low budget, homemade" Batman in Aronofsky and Miller's Year One script. Plus I really dug the scarf in that center design!
