The BATSUIT Thread

It's gonna be a new Batman and a new story so lets go right back to the beginning

It's time for the purple gloves to shine lol!

I think that his first suit should be cloth and not armor. Like in year one or Batman :The Animated series.

I never had a problem with the armor in Burton's films or Nolan's trilogy but I hope they keep it cloth based like the comics for these next movies. It looked great in Batman v Superman.

Given Pattinson's slender, athletic build, I'm thinking we may get a more sleak and streamlined batsuit this go-around. I have a hard time picturing him in a suit quite as bulky as Batfleck's, or even Bale's in Batman Begins.

Totally. I also think the oval will be making a return.

The Bat is official, now we need an official suit!

I'm excited to see a taller, sleeker Batman in Pattinson. I hope the suit accents his physique and we get a streamlined suit

Harddddddddddd no to the blue. I'm a black and grey fan all the way. The blue just looks goofy to me. Works in the comics at times, but I just don't feel like it would translate well on-screen.

I saw a few Blue/Grey batman cosplays and im against that color.
Even the Arkham Asylum suit in real life looks kind of weird...i dont know.
Maybe with the right light and stuff it could work, but so far i havent seen anything that makes me get behind the Blue.
I think in general the time of Blue/Grey is over...just like the trunks should be a thing of the past.
Its just not working for me at all.
But of course im ready for Reeves or anybody to prove me wrong on that.

I'd take some blue sheen, on a hard black background.

I feel like the continuum of Batman and ultimately comic adaptation history as a whole, is defined by common wisdom holding a certain idea or visual as "okay in the comics but wouldn't translate to film" and then someone coming along and blowing that concept out of water. I remember back when we were getting info as Begins was coming together, the prevailing wisdom was black and grey was "too comic-booky" and wouldn't work in a movie. Then Snyder kinda blew that away with his batsuit. Anyway, I'm biased because I really want to see the blue, grey, and yellow.

I’m open to blue. It just couldn’t be, like, periwinkle like it is in even some modern comics (not that anyone was suggesting such a thing). A very dark blue would work just as well as black. Technically better, as I believe it’s been proven that blue tends to provide better nighttime camouflage than solid black.

I just hope that they keep going towards a cloth-based approach, instead of going back to the rubber bodysuit. The problem is that Pattinson is a skinny bloke and not intimidating at all ,so they could think that , just like with the actors from the 90s Batmovies , they need black rubber body armor to make him look credible.

Why are people assuming Pattinson will look the same as he does now when he starts filming?

He said that he hates working out and , even if he changes his mind , is never going to match the brute force of Affleck or Bale IMO.

He said that when asked about why he didn't take the 50 Shades of Grey role which to me sounds like he was bull****ting
