I could do without the "plating" on the new suit, but I'm very pleased with how much leaner it looks in comparison to the BvS one.

The new cowl is a mixed bag for me, though. Like the suit itself, I'm glad they were able to streamline the neck. However, the shape of the cowl is a bit of a step down. They still really haven't cracked it.

What do you dislike about the shape of the cowl?

How the ears sort of curve inward, which makes the head look smaller near the top. And while they might have had to do this in order to maintain the cowl's structural integrity, the jaw is a tad bit too large. It almost looks like it's swallowing Affleck's face. Also not very found of the sculpt of the brow.

Don't get me wrong. In terms of execution, it's the most sophisticated cowl we've had yet. But I've made no secret of the fact that I wish they'd find a way to move past the rubber cowl and try something new.

The main thing I want to see from a new Batsuit is longer ears. At least Bale-length, though maybe slightly longer than that. And a less blocky bat symbol as well. Although if I'm being honest, I'd say just bring the oval back, but I know how unpopular that design element is these days.

I think it’s time to explore options outside of a one piece rubber cowl.
I prefer practical effects whenever they’re possible but I think batman would benefit from a cgi cowl.
It would allow for much more movement in the head and neck and even allow for some brow movement.

It could even eliminate the need for makeup around the actors eyes.

I like the batfleck cowls but they do look a bit stiff sometimes.
Time for something new.

I think they should make a physical cowl that transitions to a cgi sleeve for the neck. That way they can cgi the neck black and he can move his head freely all while looking practical.

That works too.
A mix of both is usually best.

I'd take it over the flexible fat neck from bvs or the more stiff slim neck from JL. Cgi neck gives full mobility and if the CG is done well it'd be seamless.

If the loose looking neck is as good as it gets then they need to try something new

A cgi neck seems like it would be easy to get right and it would improve the look and movement a lot.

Best part of the CG neck is if you attach it to a real cowl, we still get the weight and real feel of the actor turning his head and neck without the resistance of the rubber.

They should change the Batsuit. Ditch all the Frank Miller elements. Reeve should be allowed to leave his own stamp on this.

The Frank Miller route was a major blow against this franchise.
