Why would he go with the yellow symbol if he has the plain symbol on his suit already?

I had this idea that kind of ties into the idea that the yellow symbol is meant to draw fire away from his face and to the armored portion of his suit. What if the bat symbol could produce a blinding flash in the darkness that leaves everyone except Batman temporarily blind?

But also, if you follow canon, Batman usually starts out with the plain symbol and then gets the yellow oval later on. Golden and early silver age Batman started out ovalless, then he got the "new look" in the 60s. Post crisis depicted Batman in his early days without the oval(Batman Year One, Legends of the Dark Knight) and the present-day stories have him with the oval.

Sideshow always got some great designs they put out once in a while. Here's another one designed by Ivan Reis which I'm partial to because of the circular bat-emblem:

I actually like this one a lot for a film suit. Its a middle ground between the Burton 89 suit and the Snyder 16 suit.

Yeah, that's a great look, but I would like the ears to be a bit longer. Maybe by an inch or two.

It's just my preference. I've always leaned toward longer bat-ears(Neal Adams, the Burton movies).

The short ears were the only nitpick I ever had with the BvS suit - I grew up seeing the longer ears of Adams, Aparo, Jose Luis Garcia Lopez, Novick and Giordano and I lean more towards that length so I'd like to see them go that way. I just don't want a scenario where they go too big ala Kelly Jones.

I don't mind short ears, but I think BVS went too short. That first in-costume shot they released, if you weren't looking closely enough, could've been ****ing Midnighter or something.

Thread back from the dead. Saw this on Instagram and personally think the cowl looks quite menacing even with lenses. Opinions?

Take away the lenses, or only involve them in special circumstances or scenes, and this is a great base for a new film suit.

Not really digging the extent of the ears curving back, but the rest of that is awesome. Big blocky Keaton-esque silhouette and all.

I would love Bruce to keep all his suits, even the prototype ones... i don't want to see them in action, just on mannequins or shelves in there cave - be a good nod to other movies, interpretations..

I've always thought we snyder would've given us that. He gave us some fan service but surprised he didn't give more. I would love to see his old suits on display. All tattered and re-stiched up, and I'd love an Easter egg of blueprints for the batman beyond suit.

Looks like batman's comic costume is going full classic trunks and all. So I guess the new costume in doomsday clock got scrapped.
