The covering of the under-nose would be necessary to help secure the mouthpiece, no? At least to where it doesn’t move around so much. The nose provides a nice horizontal centering for the entire cowl.

I'm not as into the look, but I don't mind it. I think like Jekecy said, it would make it hard for the cowl not to look a bit floppy, or you would end up with a cowl that doesn't move with the face. Though, if you make sure that the rest of the cowl conforms very tightly to the actor's face, having a slightly flared nose opening would probably work.

I hope not. The BvS batsuit should set a template for future Batsuits,much like the B89 black rubber suit did. The BvS suit can and should be improved upon ,instead of going back to crap suits like the Arkham Knight one or the Bale one.

The BvS suit is really good. They just made it a little too puffy and the ears needed to be a little longer. Maybe even the cowl itself could have been a little elongated.

I just don’t want an overly busy looking suit. I remember the bvs Batsuit reveal pic made me really sour when I first saw it.
Now it’s my all time favorite on screen look. It’s just pure Batman. But yes lay off the padded look and more to the slimmer/athletic build.

Honestly, I love the rebirth suit so I was hoping that might be a possible look. But I understand I’m in the minority on that opinion.

I think the ears are just a smidge too long, and I don’t care for the chin guard, but it’s solid otherwise.

It's an impressive fan-made costume, but it demonstrates why the sharp, comic-book-like eyes don't translate as effectively into live-action. I think if they do end up going with lenses, they'll have to be more of a natural eye shape.

I think this would be the best option. Even if you keep a rigid cowl, the contact or just cgi-ing the eyes white would allow the actor to retain all the expressiveness they need with their eyes.

That last pic is a weird combo of Frank Quietley, The '89 suit and the model from the 2004 The Batman animated series.

I love the more demonic versions, and the more gritty versions (the Villalobos stuff posted above is awesome), but I think Earth One is the best I've seen that does the ultra-realistic, low-tech, no-lenses look right. Great cape, great mask, the boots and utility belt look totally realistic (I'd prefer better gloves/gauntlets), and if we're not going to get white eyes, I really think the raccoon-makeup-free approach is best. As far as a starting out, low-tech version of the suit goes, this is pretty dope.

On the first: I could do with a little less ribbing, but the symbol, cape, and cowl look good.

The second is solid. The belt is a little too big and the boots too high, but not bad, not bad.
Never really been into the claws, but I don’t think I’d hate them.

The codpiece on the first reminds me of The Flash’s obnoxious ass belt buckle. But the belt and gloves are nice.

The second suit is better, but I’m over the armored look. It looks like the bodysuit was literally carved from stone. Not only that, but the emblem is way too small (on both of them, actually) and and I’ve never liked it when the belt is made to dip like that. It looks stupid. But I’m all for extending the top of the cape upwards to cover Bruce’s neck and making the cowl a helmet.

Man...it just hit me that we’ll never see Idris Elba play Batman. That’s a damn shame.
