Oh man, YES. I still think a flexible second skin approach to the material is best, and I agree with Invader, neck turn is essential!

I like both of these quite a bit. Especially the top one. I like how the rivets suggest that is a material that was too tough to just sew the segments together. I wouldn't mind some minor sculpting in the torso. If they would do that with a textured material, add the harness and lengthen the ears, I think it would look great.
