I'd be fine with a special Blu Ray Black and White The Batman edition. WB would never release a black and white blockbuster in cinemas.

Exactly.... spot on! Batman really needs to be as much of a mystery to the audience too - almost as if we have Bruce narrating his thoughts to us (similar to Rorsarch) when we see the batman peering down at criminals and as Craigaat said, we just see his outline a lot fo the time... he needs to feel like a beast up there, prowling... it will then really show us just how frightening he is to the lower level criminals esp....

I'm not sure that's how Reeves is gonna shoot his Batman though. He wants to shoot the film from the perspective of Batman, not anyone else. Maybe at a scene in the beginning.

ofcourse... but i don't also want to revert back to the nolan era of day time shots seeing military man on the streets.

This is just a matter of personal opinion, but I have always found movie Batman costumes to be bland and boring. If the production team of The Batman would like to add some pizzazz to their Bat suit, should look into hiring some costume designers from Tencent, I mean just look at what they did for TENCENT'S The King's Avatar:

Its not anime. Anime comes from Japan. China has some really outstanding artists that can blow your socks off in terms of aesthetically pleasing, non-bland looking super hero costume designs!

For me, the blue is tricky. The Neal Adams look, while okay in the comics, would look silly on film. If it was a REALLY dark blue, almost black might work. Light blue with a big yellow oval would just look weird. If you are gonna bring back the yellow symbol I would prefer black and grey.

Would be a hard pass from me for this sort of look for Batman, this would be a step backwards in my opinion. Even for an all black suit, it looks far too busy, much like TDK/TDKR & JL Tactical outfits with all the joints, lines & creases.. which don't get me wrong I didn't dislike those, I just prefer when the suit looks a lot cleaner & straight to the point.

I wouldn't however be against something like this for Robin should they ever bring the character on board.

Yeah, I saw these on twitter a few days ago. His concepts for Robin and Joker are also great. It's a nice mix of BTAS and B89. Looks great.
